Job Title: Senior Cloud Systems AdministratorJob Category: Information TechnologyTime Type: Full timeMinimum Clearance Required to Start: SecretEmployee Type: RegularPercentage of Travel Required: Up to 10%Type of Travel: Local* * *The Opportunity:Join a fast‑paced Agile development program as a core Platform team member supporting a diverse ecosystem of systems and applications hosted in AWS. In this role, you will help build, maintain, and evolve mission‑critical cloud infrastructure—ensuring high availability, scalability, and security across multiple environments. You’ll manage daily operational tasks while driving long‑term upgrades, migrations, and modernization efforts. With a wide range of technologies in play, you’ll continually be challenged and have abundant opportunities to grow your skills and technical depth.Responsibilities:Build and manage AWS infrastructure across multi‑account, multi‑environment landing zones, including systems management and solution designInstall, configure, deploy, and maintain servers and softwareMonitor system and application performance and troubleshoot issues when they ariseEnsure the security, reliability, and efficiency of IT infrastructureCollaborate within a SAFe delivery model alongside application, data, and security teamsMore About the RoleSupport IaaS, IaC, networking, and firewall operationsPerform upgrades, IAVA patching, and STIG compliance activitiesMonitor and maintain system performance in alignment with contract requirementsTroubleshoot system issues and outages across cloud environmentsManage resources within AWS, including scaling, configuration, and optimizationImplement security controls, backups, and firewall policiesCreate and maintain internal technical documentation, runbooks, and IT policiesContribute to multi‑region disaster recovery, backup, failover, and resilience automation initiativesQualifications:Required: US citizenship is required and have a DoD Secret clearanceProven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar roleStrong verbal and written communication skillsExperience with servers, LAN/WAN networks, and patch management in virtual or cloud environmentsAbility to understand, distill, and document solution requirementsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionExpertise with Windows and Linux operating systemsProduction experience with Kubernetes/EKS and container technologies (Docker/containerd, image building)Experience with Active Directory and identity federation integrations7+ years of experience in a relevant technical fieldBachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experienceSecurity+ CertificationAWS Cloud CertificationsDesired:Familiarity with GIT, Jenkins CI/CD, Terraform, and DockerExperience with STIG compliance and security patchingKnowledge of AWS environments and cloud‑native servicesScripting and automation experience (Shell, Perl, PowerShell)Strong Terraform experience (modules, state management, reusable IaC) and Ansible proficiencyExperience with observability and logging platforms (Splunk, CloudWatch)-What You Can Expect: A culture of integrity.At CACI, we place character and innovation at the center of everything we do.
