Starting the road to your rewarding career with Medtronic will come with competitive pay, bonuses, and benefits supporting your work-life balance.This is an onsite role located at our Lafayette, CO campus In this role: You will architect, design, develop, test, document, and maintain embedded systems using mixed-signal MCUs for patient monitoring platformsYou will apply the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the embedded system development life cycle to support the generation of such engineering applications and wide range of products.You may engage with internal and external stakeholders, including interfacing with clinicians, customers, and KOLs, to better understand use environments and needs.You will apply a thorough understanding of technologies used to measure physiological signals and knowledge of human physiology to inform product design decisions, prioritize design tradeoffs, provide strategic input on the development pathway, and ensure alignment with use cases/use scenarios. Must Have: Minimum Requirements To be considered for this role, please ensure the minimum requirements are evident on your resume.Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Computer Engineering or related engineering/science degree with a minimum 4 years of relevant experience or Master's Degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience OR PhD with 0 years relevant experience.Must have demonstrated experience of embedded software design and implementation. You must be able to work in a team environment both locally and globally.Nice to Have Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Computer EngineeringMedical device development experience, design control, FDA and MDR regulationsExperience in embedded software development following IEC 62304Experience utilizing AI for software and unit test developmentDigital circuit design knowledgeExperience developing embedded solutions in embedded CExperience with unit test development, DevOps, and PythonDemonstrated skills in “systems thinking” – ability to consider problems, implementations, and impacts at a higher system levelExperience implementing safety risk management including SFMEAs and cybersecurity risk managementFor Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.Physical Job RequirementsThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.
