You’ll lead with purpose, breaking down barriers to innovation in a more connected, compassionate world.A Day in the Life The Medtronic Clinical and Regulatory Solutions (MCRS) business is looking for a motivated Senior Program Manager with strong Lean Six Sigma expertise (Black Belt preferred) to be part of a high-performing team driving organizational transformation and excellence in the regulatory and clinical functions. In this role, you will leverage your project management expertise, Lean Six Sigma methodologies, and leadership skills to establish and optimize processes across teams, evolve organizational structure, and drive maturity in support of more efficient and compliant operations. You'll lead initiatives like establishing shared service centers and centers of excellence that transform how our organization operates. The work you do will impact patients globally and help support Medtronic's mission of alleviating pain, restoring health, and extending life for millions.This role requires a results-driven leader with deep process improvement expertise and strong interpersonal and analytical skills. The ideal candidate has a Lean mindset, thrives in ambiguous environments, and is passionate about driving measurable operational efficiencies through data, process mapping, and structured problem-solving. A strong background in business transformation, value stream design, and stakeholder engagement is essential. The ideal candidate will have an unrelenting desire to improve our business and an ability to take leadership in ambiguous environments with minimal SME support. This role will require 10% of travel to enhance collaboration and ensure successful completion of projects.Responsibilities:Lead end-to-end process transformation initiatives across Clinical, Regulatory, and Quality functions, focusing on shared service optimization, standardization, and scalability.Facilitate cross-functional value stream mapping and process redesign workshops to identify inefficiencies, eliminate waste, and create integrated, future-state processes.Apply Lean Six Sigma and structured problem-solving methodologies to diagnose root causes, implement sustainable improvements, and quantify business value.Manage large projects or processes with considerable latitude in determining deliverables, with limited oversight from managerCoach, review and delegate work to lower-level specialists, acting as a team leader for organizational change initiativesWork cross-functionally with Clinical, Regulatory, Quality, and others, to drive more effective interactions between various parts of the business and build integrated processesStructure organizational needs by documenting clear milestones and driving actions to meet those milestonesQuickly discern competing needs of stakeholders and negotiate solutions that bring about the best value to Medtronic overallIdentify how data may be used to identify and/or track opportunities, detect broad trends, and communicate meaningful stories to stakeholdersNavigate ambiguity and complex, technical processes with limited support from subject-matter expertsMaintain engagement with senior leaders across the organization through regular communications that bring clarity and momentum on actions neededIdentify potential programs or opportunities, quantify the possible return on investment, and present proposals to senior leadersSupport business model innovation as a strategic-thinking advisor and contribute to defining the direction for strategic initiatives, new businesses, and operational plansMinimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree plus 7+ years of relevant program management experience (advanced degree with 5+ years relevant experience)Lean Six Sigma certification Nice to Have:2+ years of experience operating at a senior manager levelPreferred background in manufacturing, operations, or other process-intensive environments.Experience applying Lean in regulated or complex domains (e.g., medical device, pharma, healthcare).Strong experience with value stream mapping, root cause analysis, and structured problem solvingDemonstrated success in organizational transformation initiatives, particularly establishing shared service centers or centers of excellenceProven track record negotiating and implementing strategic solutions to meet anticipated business needs with predictabilityUsing project management tools to manage scope, cost, resources, and schedulesStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to ask critical questions without being the subject matter expertAbility to lead, influence, and elevate the performance of team members outside direct line of reportingBlack belt certifiedExperience with regulatory or clinical processes and/or requirementsWorking knowledge of financial principles, quality systems requirements, and medical device regulationsFor Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.Physical Job RequirementsThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list
