The Dexter site is known for its strong technical capabilities and plays a critical role in bringing innovative manufacturing solutions from concept into production at scale. As an Engineering Supervisor, you’ll provide both technical direction and people leadership across machining and equipment development activities. You’ll serve as a key bridge between manufacturing engineering, tooling design, and shop operations—prioritizing work, guiding teams, and ensuring equipment moves efficiently from design through build and qualification. We’re working a minimum of 5 days a week onsite as part of our commitment to fostering a culture of professional growth and cross-functional collaboration as we work together to engineer the extraordinary.                  Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:Serve as the primary interface between Manufacturing Engineering, tooling/fixture design, and machining operations to ensure alignment across equipment development and productionPartner with the Sr. Engineering Manager to prioritize and manage equipment through design, fabrication, assembly, controls integration, and qualificationOversee machine shop operations, including managing machinists and work distribution to drive throughput and efficiencyReview engineering drawings with cross-functional teams, applying knowledge of GD&T, tolerancing, and machining best practicesGuide the development and build of custom equipment, fixtures, and tooling to support manufacturing processesCoordinate with external suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery and technical alignment of equipment and components Minimum RequirementsRequires a Bachelor's degree and minimum of 1 year relevant experience. Nice to HavePrior experience leading or supporting a machine shop or tooling environmentStrong knowledge of machining processes (CNC milling, turning, etc.) and fixture designExperience applying GD&T and interpreting complex engineering drawingsExposure to custom equipment build lifecycle (design → fabrication → assembly → qualification)Familiarity with controls integration, electrical wiring, or equipment debuggingExperience working with external vendors or tool builders on equipment fabricationBackground in medical device or other highly regulated manufacturing environmentsFor Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.Physical Job RequirementsThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position. The physical demands described within the Responsibilities section of this job description are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
