This role blends deep technical expertise in Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC), platform engineering, and cloud infrastructure with strong product ownership responsibilities. You will work closely with a cross‑functional team of platform engineers, system administrators, and program stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and modern ground system capabilities.Note This position is based on site in Aurora, CO, with minimal travel expected.What You Will DoLead a small team of platform engineers and system administrators responsible for designing, building, securing, and operating an evolving DevSecOps platform and cloud‑based infrastructureServe as Product Owner, managing the backlog, prioritizing work, defining acceptance criteria, and ensuring alignment with program objectives and delivery milestonesPartner with the Scrum Master to plan and execute Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, refinement, reviews, retrospectives, and PI planningOversee delivery, selloff, and technical acceptance of completed increments, ensuring stakeholder satisfaction and alignment with program commitmentsAct as the primary liaison between engineering teams, program leadership, and external stakeholders to align technical vision, roadmap, and delivery prioritiesDevelop, maintain, and drive a forward‑leaning technical roadmap emphasizing cloud‑native architectures, automation, modern DevSecOps practices, and relevant COTS integrationsContinuously evaluate and incorporate emerging technologies, cloud services, automation approaches, and industry best practices to enhance platform capability, security, reliability, and scalability Qualifications You Must HaveTypically requires BS/BA Degree in Science, Technology Engineering Math (STEM) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or Physics and a minimum 10 years of related work experienceExperience installing, configuring, hardening, and maintaining Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments ands‑on experience designing, implementing, and integrating cloud infrastructure solutions, preferably with AWSExperience with IaC and configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and/or ChefExperience and knowledge of CI/CD principles and toolchains (Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, GitLab, Artifactory, Helm)Active and Current TS/SCI with CI Poly security clearance is required on day 1. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance Qualifications We PreferDemonstrated technical leadership and strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to engineering teams, customers, and senior leadership. DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE or equivalent)Experience independently developing technical approaches and solutions with minimal oversightStrong foundation in infrastructure components including servers, networking, storage, and virtualization in enterprise or mission environmentsAdvanced troubleshooting skills for Linux platform, performance, reliability, and distributed system availability issuesProficiency with scripting languages such as Python and Bash for automation and workflow developmentExperience implementing solutions within a DevSecOps framework, including integrating security across the software lifecycleStrong AWS experience, including architecture, deployment, and security for EC2, EKS, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, and related servicesExperience with container technologies and platform engineering (Kubernetes, Docker, Podman)Experience integrating and supporting COTS and FOSS solutions in secure or regulated environmentsFamiliarity with supporting application teams through CI/CD pipeline integrations and developer‑facing platform servicesWhat We OfferOur values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world.
