Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.Position DescriptionAs a Procurement Manager, you will have the responsibility to manage a group of suppliers from PO placement through order delivery work, ensuring that product is delivered on time, meets quality standards, and at the right cost.What You Will DoExecute buyer standard work to manage a group of suppliers, using appropriate systems and tools to place demand, confirm commits and and ensuring on time deliveryProcess and maintain RFQs, purchase orders and portal activities for suppliersAnalyze and monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.Manage the supplier relationship and improvement activities, looking for trends and managing supplier risks, using procurement toolsReview critical shortages with stakeholders and work with suppliers to improve deliveries, follow up on actions to effectively close gapsWork with suppliers to create a Line of Balance (LOB) and WIP Tracker to indicate part recovery status as neededAnalyze root causes to lead resolution to a permanent fix that will mitigate a repeat of overdue deliveriesDrive delivery improvement plans such as overdue reduction, and buffer complianceWork with BU to Eliminate risks and roadblocks such us outstanding SRIs, CADs, and FAIs that prevent suppliers from meeting performance targets, and escalate as neededTake initiative in leading alternate solutions to resolve operational challengesWork cross-functionally on projects in support of procurement.Utilize project management skills and techniques when managing suppliersQualifications You Must Have:Typically requires a BE/ Masters Degree and minimum 12+ years prior relevant experience Qualifications We Prefer:Aerospace electronics procurement experienceA general understanding of Aerospace drawings, specifications, and manufacturing processesExperience developing supplier relationshipsKnowledge of supply chain management in the Aerospace organization  Knowledge of export regulations and policies to ensure 100% export complianceAbility to communicate and present to all levels of the organizationExperience with data managementExperience with Microsoft Excel and Power PointExperience with SAPLearn More & Apply NowRTX adheres to the principles of equal employment.
