Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.What You Will Do: Own ECAD design execution for assigned scope, including planning, coordination, and delivery aligned to program schedules and engineering requirementsPerform hands-on ECAD design and layout for complex printed circuit card assemblies including multilayer rigid, flex, and high-density interconnect (HDI) designsSupport schematic capture and layout implementation while managing electrical and physical constraints (high-speed, high-voltage, high-current)Communicate design status, technical risks, and schedule impacts with engineering stakeholders and program teamsParticipate in and contribute to cross-functional design reviews with Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Configuration ManagementDevelop and maintain complete ECAD documentation packages (fabrication, assembly, and design documentation)Manage ECAD data within PLM systems and ensure compliance with configuration management requirementsIncorporate DFM (Design for Manufacturability), DFA (Design for Assembly), and DFT (Design for Test) principles throughout the layout processTroubleshoot complex design issues and resolve electrical, mechanical, and manufacturability challenges in collaboration with cross-functional teamsProvide technical guidance and informal mentorship to junior designers and support knowledge sharing across the ECAD teamSupport adherence to ECAD standards, library usage, and best practices across programsResponsibilities include making moderate improvements to ECAD processes, systems, and design practices to enhance performance, quality, and efficiency across the organizationCoordinate ECAD activities for small projects or defined work scopesQualifications You Must Have: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experienceExperience with PCB layout using ECAD tools (Siemens Xpedition preferred; Cadence Allegro, Altium, or similar acceptable)Experience designing multilayer PCB layouts and supporting complex electrical designsExperience managing electrical and physical constraints within PCB design toolsQualification We Prefer:Experience with Siemens Xpedition (VX or 2504 versions) for complex PCB layout designExperience with high-layer-count PCBs and high-speed digital interfacesFamiliarity with advanced PCB technologies (HDI, microvias, stacked microvias, flex circuits, backplanes)Experience with DDR4 / DDR5 and high-speed design considerationsKnowledge of signal integrity (SI) and power integrity (PI) principlesExperience with DFM/DFA/DFT implementation in PCB designFamiliarity with ECAD–MCAD data exchange processesExperience working within PLM and configuration management systemsIPC CID / CID+ or PCEA certification preferredExperience in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industriesStrong communication and ability to work across cross-functional engineering teamWhat We Offer: Some of our competitive benefits package includes: Medical, dental, and vision insuranceThree weeks of vacation for newly hired employeesGenerous 401(k) plan that includes employer matching funds and separate employer retirement contribution, including a Lifetime Income Strategy optionTuition reimbursement programStudent Loan Repayment ProgramLife insurance and disability coverageOptional coverages you can buy pet insurance, home and auto insurance, additional life and accident insurance, critical illness insurance, group legal, ID theft protectionBirth, adoption, parental leave benefitsOvia Health, fertility, and family planningAdoption Assistance Autism BenefitEmployee Assistance Plan, including up to 10 free counseling sessionsHealthy You Incentives, wellness rewards programDoctor on Demand, virtual doctor visitsBright Horizons, child and elder care servicesTeladoc Medical Experts, second opinion programAnd more!
