Job Description SummaryWorking with live aircraft engine components, preparing and applying specialist coatings.Job DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities:To produce engine components through numerous special process functions controlled by the OEM (Overhaul Engine Manual) & SPM (Standard Practices Manual)To Deliver a Quality Product on time to internal and external customersTo ensure production flow is maintained at all timeTo work in accordance with the company's quality procedure: European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Part-145 RequirementsTo follow strict EHS guide lines in all aspects of shop floor safety procedures to ensure a safe working environmentTo liaise with internal departments to ensure effective processes are used in a timely manner which supports their operationsWillingness to operate collaboratively with all departments in a shop floor teaming environmentQualifications/RequirementsKnowledge of Chemical Cleaning Processes and abrasive Blast Process techniquesKnowledge of Paint Spraying and PreparationEffective communication skillsGood team player with flexible approach and effective interpersonal skillsA responsible/self-motivated person, willing to make decisionsComputer literacy skills, ideally with experience of windows based packagesDesired CharacteristicsPrevious experience in Aircraft Engine industryKnowledge of Six Sigma or equivalent techniquesExperience in Large Scale Production EnvironmentFlexibility for potential night shiftEqual Opportunities GE Aerospace Wales is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
