Read more: careers.bms.com/working-with-us.Position Summary:Reporting into the Executive Director of Strategy and Operations, this role dotted lines into and serves as the Chief of Staff for the VP, Rheumatology Marketing and Sales. This is an exciting time for the US Rheumatology team, with a strong in-line business and two potential upcoming launches, requiring a highly effective strategic and operational partner to help drive focus, alignment, and execution across the organization.As a director on the ICV S&O team, this individual will also help drive the evolution of Strategy & Operations capabilities by building new ways of working, enhancing organizational effectiveness, and contributing to a high-performing, collaborative team culture across the ICV S&O organization.Key Responsibilities:Serve as Chief of Staff to the VP of Rheumatology Marketing and Sales, ensuring effective prioritization, decision-making, and execution across the businessLead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and support Investor Relations (IR) calls, including development of executive-ready content, alignment across stakeholders, and clear articulation of business performance, risks, and opportunitiesDrive the brand planning cycle, including ownership of CIP, tactical planning, and financial planning processes, ensuring alignment across marketing, sales, and cross-functional partnersSupport VP Rheumatology Marketing on SLE and SjD indication launch preparedness, including cross-functional coordination, risk identification, and execution planningEffectively organize and execute key brand leadership, marketing, and cross-functional team meetings, prioritizing critical content, elevating key pain points, and driving actionable outcomesLead OPEX planning and management for the entire Rheumatology team, including monthly budget tracking, projection cycles, and close partnership with Finance and matrix stakeholders to ensure strong financial stewardshipServe as a central integrator across the matrix, connecting Marketing, Sales, Medical, Market Access, Finance, and other key functions to drive alignment and executionSupport the evolution of commercial Strategy & Operations capabilities, identifying opportunities to drive efficiency, improve ways of working, and enhance business impactKey Qualifications and Experience:BA, BS, or equivalent required. MBA preferred.Minimum 8 years of commercial experience in pharmaceutical or other relevant industry.Marketing experience in US or other key marketsStrong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to assess complex situations and formulate effective plans, anticipate obstacles, and develop mitigationsProven track record of effectively and efficiently leading large cross-functional matrix teams through informal authority and collaborative partnershipsClear understanding of the BMS organization, policies, and processesStrong project management skillsIf you come across a role that intrigues you but doesn’t perfectly line up with your resume, we encourage you to apply anyway. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee’s work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience.
