Work ScheduleStandard (Mon-Fri)Environmental ConditionsAdherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.)Job DescriptionWe are hiring Senior Blow Molding Engineer for our Manufacturing facility at ApodacaProfile:•Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineer or related field, with 5 years of experience in a position as a Blow Molding Engineer or similar role.•Experience using machine controls to input settings and do high level troubleshooting.•Technical experience in injection molding of thermoplastics related to Design for Manufacturability of molds, processing of thermoplastics, robotics, automation and hot runner systems•Demonstrated expertise in the use of problem-solving and root cause analysis tools (5 Why, Ishikawa, Pareto, etc.), as well as the identification, documentation, and risk assessment of potential failure causes within FMEA (AMEF) methodologies to drive continuous improvement and preventive actions. English Knowledge•Resin knowledge (PPE,HDPE, LDPE, PS, PC etc.)•Prospective applicants should be self-motivated, possess strong leadership and communication skills, have the ability to manage groups and tools while maintaining exceptional organization, develop and maintain continuous training programs with workers and managers, and be proactive, team-oriented, and results-driven.•Responsibilities:•Provides molding expertise in plastic components, design for manufacturability /mold-ability, design for improved / outstanding tooling and scientific molding principles.•Ensure Blow Molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and connected systems are set to parameters and meet quality standards and all production goals.•Set up and start up molding machines according to established process parameters.•Establish new project mold process parameters by conducting trials.•Monitor and troubleshoot processing problems and document process changes.•Manage machine process efficiency initiatives, scrap minimization, materials conservation.•Troubleshoot and properly countermeasure any problems with the blow mold machines.•Understand the importance of reducing and re-using material scrap to protect our environment and save costs.•Identify and request mold repair as needed.•Coach, monitor, and develop Mold Setters and Process Technicians to ensure disciplined execution, performance, and continuous improvement.•High cavitation/hot runner experience preferred•Establish robust, repeatable and reproducible process parameters•Examines parts for defects such as breakage and excessive wear, identifying and understanding root causes to support corrective and preventive actions.•Observes and tests the operation of machinery and equipment in order to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters and other testing devices•Lead role for new product launches and bottle qualifications•Adjusting heats, parison adjustments, air pressure adjustments, machinal adjustments to the molds, cooling adjustments/dwell time, consistent resin flow so the container will within the customer requirements•Advise Plant Operators, Maintenance and Set Up Tech on machine adjustments, maintenance and processing, improvements in design and/or modifications needed to molds or tooling.
