This is a hands-on, laboratory-based role at the cutting edge of clinical genomics, supporting the delivery of high-quality genomic testing to patients across the region.In this role, you will perform a range of laboratory techniques in compliance with ISO 15189 quality standards, including DNA extraction, DNA quantification, library preparation, and next-generation sequencing using the NovaSeq X Plus platform. You will work with a combination of automated workflows (e.g., Hamilton STAR systems) and manual bench-top assays, gaining broad exposure to modern clinical laboratory operations. You will also play an important role in maintaining a safe, organized, and compliant laboratory environment.This is an entry-level position suited to someone eager to learn, develop technical expertise, and grow within a regulated clinical laboratory setting. Your contributions will directly support patients and clinicians seeking answers through genetic testing.Responsibilities Perform routine laboratory testing to define quality standards and within established turnaround times.Handle, process, and store clinical samples in accordance with approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring accurate labeling and traceability.Accurately record laboratory activities, results, and observations in laboratory records, logs, and electronic systems. Escalate deviations, errors, or nonconformities as required.Monitor laboratory consumables and reagents, maintaining adequate stock levels and re-ordering as necessary.Support routine operation and upkeep of laboratory instruments, including basic checks, maintenance tasks, and reporting of equipment issues.Perform general laboratory housekeeping to maintain a clean, organized, and compliant working environment.Adhere strictly to Health & Safety (H&S) requirements, risk assessments, and biosafety procedures at all times.Follow all approved Work Instructions, SOPs, and Quality Management System (QMS) requirements, ensuring compliance with ISO 15189.Participate in training, competency assessments, audits, and continuous improvement activities.Work collaboratively with team members to achieve laboratory goals while maintaining individual productivity and quality standards.Maintain patient and data confidentiality in accordance with regulatory and organizational requirements.Preferred Requirements Molecular biology laboratory experience requiredA theoretical understanding of next-generation sequencing technologySome industry experience in a laboratory preferred but not required Detail-oriented and conscientious.We are a company deeply rooted in belonging, promoting an inclusive environment where employees feel valued and empowered to contribute to our mission.
