Amgen seeks a strategic and innovative communications leader to serve as Executive Director, Brand Marketing & Reputation. Reporting to the Vice President of Corporate Communications, this role is responsible for advancing and protecting Amgen's reputation through integrated brand strategy, marketing, content, and storytelling.The Executive Director will lead a multidisciplinary organization responsible for corporate brand management, brand marketing, editorial strategy, content operations, multimedia production, reputation initiatives, and support for the Amgen Foundation and ESG-related storytelling. This leader will oversee the development and execution of programs that strengthen trust, increase awareness, enhance stakeholder engagement, and reinforce Amgen's position as a leading biotechnology company.The role will also lead a centralized content and creative services organization supporting Corporate Affairs, establishing scalable processes, technology-enabled workflows, and modern communications capabilities that improve efficiency, quality, and impact across the function.Key Responsibilities include: Brand Strategy & ReputationDevelop and execute Amgen's corporate brand strategy, ensuring alignment with business priorities, culture, and long-term reputation goalsServe as steward of the Amgen brand, driving consistency across communications, experiences, and visual identityLead brand governance and oversee initiatives that strengthen awareness, trust, and engagement among key stakeholdersPartner with Communications and Data & Insights teams to monitor reputation trends, identify risks, and develop proactive strategies that strengthen trust and resilienceProvide strategic oversight for brand programs connected to the Amgen Foundation and ESG prioritiesBrand Marketing & Audience EngagementLead corporate brand marketing programs and integrated campaigns that increase awareness, strengthen reputation, and deepen stakeholder engagementPartner with Digital, Social, Media, and Communications teams to develop audience-centric marketing and amplification strategiesOversee paid media investments that support corporate storytelling, executive visibility, talent attraction, and business prioritiesLeverage audience insights, analytics, and performance data to optimize campaign effectiveness and measure impactContent, Newsroom & Communications OperationsLead Amgen's enterprise content strategy and oversee the Amgen Newsroom as the company's flagship owned media platformDirect editorial strategy, multimedia production, content publishing, and storytelling efforts that showcase Amgen's science, innovation, culture, and patient impactLead a centralized editorial, creative, and multimedia services organization supporting teams across Corporate AffairsEstablish intake, prioritization, governance, and resource allocation processes that ensure support is aligned with enterprise prioritiesOversee communications technology platforms and drive adoption of emerging capabilities, including AI-enabled tools, to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and audience engagementLeadership & CollaborationLead and develop a high-performing team spanning brand marketing, newsroom operations, content strategy, creative services, multimedia production, and communications operationsBuild strong partnerships across Corporate Affairs, Commercial, R&D, Human Resources, Legal, Government Affairs, and the Amgen FoundationFoster a culture of innovation, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvementChampion talent development, succession planning, and organizational effectivenessWhat we expect of youWe are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients.
