Take a walk, grab a bite (or a cup of coffee), work out or get a check-up – we invest in you so you can find your inspiration.Your Impact:The Sr. Analyst, Merchandising Operations (PEA Optimization) role operates within Merchandising Operations, supporting the Pro Extended Aisle (PEA) business through advanced analytics, consulting, and performance optimization across vendors, categories, and items.This role focuses on identifying opportunities, addressing complex business challenges, and partnering cross-functionally to improve Close Rate, Sales, and the overall Pro customer experience. With a data-first mindset, this role helps drive scalable and repeatable performance by improving both PEA performance as well as the way in which it operates.This includes enabling better decision-making, reducing rework, and exposing opportunities earlier across the organization. Responsibilities span cross-functional areas including pricing, assortment, fulfillment, and systems, with a focus on identifying and driving performance improvements across the Pro Extended Aisle business. What You Will DoGather, analyze, and maintain data to support reporting, business insights, and decision-makingDevelop and manage core datasets, ensuring data accuracy, quality, and usability across systemsConduct advanced data analysis, interpretation, and storytelling to identify performance trends, gaps, and opportunitiesUtilize cloud-based data tables, Excel, and programming languages such as SQL, Python, or R to analyze data and generate insightsUse analytics, customer feedback, and business input to drive continuous improvement initiativesIdentify root causes of issues and partner with stakeholders to drive resolutionInvestigate and address complex business challenges beyond day-to-day operationsTranslate data into actionable recommendations that improve Close Rate, Sales, and customer experienceIdentify opportunities to improve business processes, operational efficiency, and performance outcomesDesign and support scalable, data-driven solutions aligned to business needsBuild strong relationships and collaborate with Merchandising, Pricing, Supply Chain, Field teams, and other stakeholdersEstablish and maintain trust and credibility with leaders, partners, and team membersAct as a trusted advisor by providing data-backed recommendations and aligning on business prioritiesManage individual projects and workstreams, including timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder alignmentPartner with merchants and vendors on complex or strategic opportunities, including resolution of operational and performance-related issuesEnsure vendor and item-level considerations are addressed to support business performance • Create usage standards, guidelines, and documentation to support data governance and business integrationServe as a subject matter expert for merchandising systems, data integration, and toolsSupport testing, implementation, and ongoing optimization of technology solutionsEnsure systems support efficiency, scalability, and business continuityDevelop and deliver training materials, documentation, and best practicesCommunicate insights, challenges, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders and leadershipRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field4+ years of relevant experience in analytics, business operations, or data-driven rolesAdvanced analytical skills, including experience working with large datasets and translating data into actionable business insightsStrong problem-solving skills, including ability to identify root causes and develop data-driven recommendationsExperience working in ambiguous environments and independently structuring and solving loosely defined problemsUnderstanding of key business performance metrics (e.g., sales, margin, conversion) and how to apply them to drive decisionsExperience working cross-functionally and influencing stakeholders without direct authorityAdvanced proficiency in ExcelExperience using programming languages such as SQL, Python, or R for data analysisExperience using business intelligence software (PowerBI, Tableau, etc.)Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s in Data Science, Business Analytics, or related field)Advanced proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Python, or R, including building scalable analyses or complex data transformationsExperience in the home improvement industry and/or working with professional (Pro) customers or Pro-focused business modelsWhere You’ll BeAssociates are required to relocate to the Charlotte/Mooresville, NC region to foster collaboration and support.The ideal candidate must be willing to work in the office at our Mooresville, NC, location, 5 days per week.Most business meetings are planned around the Eastern time zoneAbout Lowe’sLowe’s Companies, Inc.
