With a career at The Home Depot, you can be yourself and also be part of something bigger.Position Purpose:The Sr. Analyst – Scheduling Optimization is responsible for helping to make scheduling and labor management simpler and more effective for our stores. Partnering closely with the stores, Analytics, and HR, this Sr. Analyst will work to create solutions and training that will help improve scheduling / labor management today and partner with leadership to ideate on solutions that could help in the future. This role will also help to deploy various scheduling pilots in stores, writing the deployment guides and monitoring the results of those efforts.A successful sr. analyst is self-motivated and curious, demonstrates strong store and analytical skills, and communicates effectively across various stakeholders, including our storesKey Responsibilities:Lead Project Teams of Analysts and other associatesPerform data gathering tasks, synthesis - develop solutions, project/strategy planning and data utilizationProduce documents for teams and leadership to review and utilize. Deliver presentations to teams and executive leaders and sponsorsBuild skills and knowledge including self-development, team knowledge and customer (internal) knowledge.Deliver presentations to teams and executive leaders and sponsors.Direct Manager/Direct Reports:Typically reports to Store Operations Process Manager or Store Operations Business Manager (or Sr. Managers)No associates report to this role on a permanent basis, but requires the leadership of a work group: assign and review work, train and contribute to performance appraisal (but not hiring, firing or disciplinary action).Travel Requirements:Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.Physical Requirements:Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.Working Conditions:Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.Minimum Qualifications:Must be eighteen years of age or older.Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.Preferred Qualifications:Previous in-store experience and/or experience within Store OperationsDemonstrated success partnering cross-functionally to launch tools, improve workflows, or set long-term goalsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and WordStrong written and verbal communication skillsMinimum Education:The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.Preferred Education:No additional educationMinimum Years of Work Experience:3Preferred Years of Work Experience:No additional years of experienceMinimum Leadership Experience:NonePreferred Leadership Experience:NoneCertifications:NoneCompetencies:Experience leading high performing teamsConsulting management and/or project management.Strong quantitative skills such as statistics and data analysisProblem solvingStrong Operations, Retail and/or field knowledge
