Job DescriptionAs the Large Loss Property Lead Consultant you will be responsible for applying strategic thought and recommending a course of action for the investigation and confirmation of the facts of loss for the most complex or specialized Homeowners Claims. Determines coverage, damages and otherwise adjusts and negotiates claims within limit of authority. This role mentors and coaches other members of the team.We’re hiring a Large Loss Property Lead Consultant to support the Houston or Dallas–Fort Worth (DFW) market. This role is ideal for someone with expert-level experience handling homeowner property claims from initial intake through final resolution. You’ll manage a wide range of losses, including contents, additional living expenses (ALE), dwelling, and supplements, while also stepping in to support virtual moderate to large losses across other regions when needed. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with all peril types—wind, hail, fire, storm, and water—and can confidently juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication, collaboration, and adaptability are key, along with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. Experience with farm and ranch claims is highly preferred, and licensing is a plus.Key Responsibilities• Handles investigation regarding all aspects of the most complex or specialized Homeowners first party claims (coverage, damages and subrogation) with the exercise of discretion / independence within increased level of authority• Retains and expands expertise on all components of residential construction and repair, including structural integrity and home systems and evolving building techniques• Identifies the most complex customer needs and works to meet those needs using advanced customer service skills• Determines subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle and recommends process improvements• Demonstrates advanced understanding of insurance policies written by the company, the industry, and organizational relationships within the company and department• Mentors and develops junior staff through estimate review, reinspection, ride-along and other techniques• For claims involving fraud or subrogation, partners with assigned reps from those areas to achieve best outcomeSupervisory Responsibilities• This job does not have supervisory duties.Sign On Bonus: You may be eligible for a $1,000 Licensing Sign on Bonus if you have the applicable active licenses needed for this role.
