What you will be responsible forControllershipReporting into the Financial Controller & Treasurer based in Philippines.Responsible for all aspects of legal entity and BU Controllership for the Philippine entity to ensure accuracy of financial results and that all internal controls are appropriately designed and executed.Coordinate with Global Close and Consolidation team on monthly close cycle process for accuracy and efficiency. Ensure financial controls are operating effectively and issues reported/ resolved and appropriately escalated. Key interface and close collaboration with LFO’s and FP&A organization to ensure alignment and accuracy of Monthly, Quarterly/ Annual results, with correct treatment of key events (Impairment, deferrals etc) & alignment to Business Unit initiativesProvide support to the Financial Controller & Treasurer based in Philippines for all in-country Finance mattersProvide support for other SEA entities’ Finance matters as and when requiredGovernanceAssist the Financial Controller with presentation decks and information required for governance and in relevant local, regional and global governance committees, project steering committees, and BU Risk committees etc.TaxResponsible for ensuring local tax compliance (including direct and indirect taxes, Transfer Pricing etc)Work closely with the appointed tax agent to stay updated on tax developments and ensure timely and accurate tax filings and complianceWork closely with the Corporate Tax team on Transfer Pricing, Group Tax matters and all matters related to BOI Tax incentives and Tax related initiatives and projects.Audit and Risk and ControlsWork closely with the external auditor to support annual statutory audit process and to prepare and submit the finalized audited financial statements for the entityResponsible for Internal Audit results and remediation for the Philippine entity.Work closely with Business Control teams to ensure compliance with internal control requirements, support control testing and improve control environment.Provide Control environment attestations (including SOX if required) / legal entity risk assessment , representation letters etc.Treasurer tasksAssist the Treasurer in managing the corporation’s funds, receiving and disbursing money, maintaining financial control, certifying capital-related documents, financial statements and ensuring compliance with relevant treasury and financial regulations.Assist the Treasurer in ensuring compliance with the RCC provisions.Projects/Ad HocSupport and execute transformation initiatives in the country, including but not limited to, proper implementation of systems which impact the external & internal financial reporting. Execute initiatives that impact accounting, reporting or tax, including capital management, legal entity rationalization etc.Any other ad-hoc tasks as required by the Financial Controller from time-to-time.What we value These skills will help you succeed in this roleQualified Accountant with approximately 6-8 years of relevant experience in a Finance Controller team in a BankStrong Leadership capability and stakeholders’ management skillsAbility to understand and ensure compliance with local reporting requirementsFast learner, proactive in nature and has excellent attention for detailsGood knowledge of Accounting System (e.g. Oracle, SUN) will be an advantageAbility to work in a fast-paced banking environment managing multiple prioritiesAbout State StreetAcross the globe, institutional investors rely on us to help them manage risk, respond to challenges, and drive performance and profitability.
