The Career Returnship Program is designed to ease the transition for high potential candidates returning to the workforce after an extended career break via a six-month paid returnship starting in Q4 2024. The team engages with senior leaders and all of BlackRock’s individual business units globally to understand and advise on the risks in their business, evaluate the effectiveness of key processes and assist in the design of best practices that can improve their results. Internal Audit reports directly to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors, and our work builds confidence that BlackRock will meet its obligations to clients, shareholders, employees and other stakeholders.Business Audit With teams in the US, Europe, and Asia, the Business Audit Team performs audits covering all BlackRock business units, including investment management, risk management, operations, finance, legal and compliance, and client businesses.New YorkBlackRock's global headquarters at 50 Hudson Yards, NYC, offers state-of-the-art facilities including a cafeteria, amenity spaces, private sky lobbies, and impressive Hudson River views. 50 Hudson Yards offers direct access to the No. 7 Subway station and has entrances on Hudson Park & Boulevard, 10th Avenue, 33rd Street, and 34th Street. It is located two blocks from Penn Station.Responsibilities & QualificationsSpecific responsibilities include:Performing regional, global, and integrated audit reviewsEngaging with BlackRock stakeholders to understand and document key processes, risks, and controls within a specific business unitPreparing process narratives and briefing memosEvaluating processes and operations to analyze the design and effectiveness of these processesInvestigating and escalating issues identified during testingValidating the remediation of issuesIdentifying emerging firm-wide and business risks, and understanding key changes in strategies and operating model through ongoing engagements with business managementCompleting annual risk assessments of business areas Contributing to global departmental projectsTravel to regional and international locations may be requiredQualificationsA career break of at least 18+ monthsUndergraduate or graduate degree 3+ years of experience; preferably in financial services and/or internal audit, including an understanding of financial instruments and asset management processes and risksInterest in broad exposure to investment management, sales, trading, operations, risk management, finance and compliance activities in the asset management industryProficient understanding of current regulatory and industry eventsRelevant professional certifications are a plus (ACCA, CA, CIA, IMC, CPA)SkillsExcellent communication (verbal, written, listening) and interpersonal skillsAbility to develop and maintain effective working relationships with peers and business partnersIntellectual curiosity and healthy skepticismAbility to articulate complex subject matters succinctlyCritical thinking and problem-solving abilitiesStrong project management and organizational skillsData AnalysisPractitioner-level AI fluency with demonstrated judgementApplication Deadline:July 24, 2026 For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$105,000.00 - USD$137,500.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits.
