Reporting to the MSIM Employee Investing team in New York and also the MSIM Asia Private Markets COO in Hong Kong, the role involves supporting MSIM’s expansion of investment opportunities for employees in Asia across our Alternatives Platform and assisting the team on the delivery of strategic business management, operational execution, and organizational initiatives across the region.This unique role combines sales support with involvement in strategic initiatives, including programs designed to expand access to alternative investment strategies and supporting the private fund operating platform for existing and new funds in Asia.The role requires a highly motivated individual with strong analytical, project management, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to operate effectively across a broad range of business functions and senior stakeholders.The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of key employee investment initiatives, support business governance activities, and drive execution of strategic priorities across the organization. Primary ResponsibilitiesEmployee Investing ProgramsAssist MSIM with the design and development of a scalable employee investing program, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives, employee engagement goals, and licensed regulatory standards in key Asia jurisdictions, including Hong Kong, Singapore and JapanCoordinate employee participation processes, including content creation, investor onboarding, communications, reporting, and program lifecycle managementPartner with Legal, Compliance, Finance, Human Resources, Investor Services, and business stakeholders to ensure adherence to Firm policies and regulatory requirementCoordinate across regional and global stakeholders to support platform growth and integrationMaintain program documentation, controls, governance frameworks, and operating proceduresPrepare management reporting, program metrics, and materials for governance committees and senior managementAssist with audits, reviews, and control assessments related to employee investment activitiesIdentify opportunities to enhance processes, controls, and participant experienceMSIM Asia COO OfficeSupport the MSIM Asia COO Office on the delivery and execution of strategic, operational, and organizational priorities across the regionSupport private fund governance related activities for existing and new private funds in AsiaCoordinate cross-functional projects and facilitate collaboration across business and support functions such as Finance, Legal, Compliance and Human ResourcesAssist in resource planning, organizing events and training and take up ad-hoc administrative tasks relating to the MSIM Asia COO OfficeDrive process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives across the organization via the use of AI and other automation toolsQualifications, Skills & Requirements4–6 years of relevant experience in fund sales, alternatives platform, product strategy, COO office or investor services role, ideally from a top-tier tier investment management or financial services firmMust be a current Hong Kong SFC Type 1 Licensed Representative in good standingStrong understanding of investment program design, product development or platform operations preferredStrong analytical, project management and organizational skillsAbility to work effectively across multiple functions, manage complex processes and completing deadlinesExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills, understanding when to escalateBachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics or related disciplineFluency in English required; Mandarin language skills a bonusExposure to or willingness to learn to apply AI efficiencies to business processesWHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM MORGAN STANLEY: At Morgan Stanley, we raise, manage and allocate capital for our clients – helping them reach their goals.
