Come experience the rewards of working in end-of-life care!The Community Hospice has a wonderful opportunity for a per diem RN to work as part of our team caring for patients and families in local nursing homes in the capital region (Albany, Schenectady, Troy, etc). Availability needed for this per diem position would be during the week (Mon-Fri). Hours generally needed are 8a-4:30p. No weekends needed at this time.Position Highlights:National pre-taxed mileage reimbursementMeetings and charting conducted via supplied lap topComprehensive orientation providedWhat you will do:As an RN you will case manage patients in the Nursing home setting and respond to symptom management needs of our Hospice patients and coordinate with our team to provide added support to residents and families. Per diem needs would be days would be during the week (Monday to Friday) and hours would be 8 am to 4:30 pm. What you will need:A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New YorkAssociates Degree in Nursing, BSN preferredThe RN must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and written1 year experience as an RN required, preferably in long term care.Previous Hospice experience preferred but not required.Valid Driver's License and Reliable vehicleHigh level of interpersonal skills to establish and maintain relationships with patients, families, physicians, and coworkers​Community Hospice provides a thorough orientation, preceptors and a supportive work environment.Apply today for more information. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
