Joining AMG means being part of a collaborative, patient-focused environment where innovation and quality care thrive.We’re Looking For:5 years of experience in nursing or medical assisting that includes experiences in an outpatient physician practice or hospital environment preferred.Licensure or CertificationsLPN: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the state in which the team member practices, andMA: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 45 days unless department leader has determined it is not required.Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 45 days unless department leader has determined it is not required.Degrees:GED or HS Equivalency Diploma.LPN: Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of an accredited or approved program in Practical NursingMA: Completion of an accredited or approved program in Medical Assistant, or 2 years of verifiable full-time experience as a Medical Assistant within the last 5 years. What You’ll Do:Schedule: Monday - Friday - 8am - 4:30pmAs a Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse Lead, you’ll play a vital role in the care team – supporting providers, connecting with patients, and helping ensure a seamless, compassionate experience every day. As a key member of the ambulatory care team, you will:Welcome patients and support their transition into care.Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.Administer medications and vaccines as directed.Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.Document care accurately in the electronic health record.Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.Oversees day to day operations and workflow to maximize staff efficiency and effectiveness.Actual compensation offered in the Pay Range of $24.10- $36.15 for an MA Lead or $25.30 - $37.95 for an LPN Lead and will be based on factors such as qualifications, skills, relevant experience and/or training.About This Location:Aurora’s occupational health program is focused on keeping workforces healthy. We value your insights and experiences because they help us grow stronger together.Physical Requirements and Working ConditionsMust be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently throughout the workday.Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.Must be able to: push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch with ability to use fine hand manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures/functions.Maneuver foot pedals on carts or machines.Perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de-escalation, if needed.May be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste as well as blood and body fluids and communicable disease.
