Location:Geisinger Healthplex WoodbineShift:Days (United States of America)Scheduled Weekly Hours:40Worker Type:RegularExemption Status:YesJob Summary:Geisinger is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Breast Surgeon to join our established, multidisciplinary, NAPBC-accredited breast program at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania.The ideal candidate will have fellowship training in Breast Surgery or Surgical Oncology; however, experienced breast surgeons with a demonstrated commitment to multidisciplinary breast care are encouraged to apply.Job Duties:POSITION HIGHLIGHSCompetitive compensation, commensurate with experienceEstablished, high-volume breast surgery practice with a strong regional referral baseNAPBC-accredited program within the Geisinger Cancer InstituteCollaborative team including breast imaging, medical oncology, radiation oncology, plastic and reconstructive surgery, pathology, genetics, APPs, and nurse navigatorsFull spectrum of benign and malignant breast disease with oncoplastic and hidden-scar approachesPredominantly operative practice with strong APP supportNo general surgery callFully integrated Epic electronic medical recordOpportunities for program developmentFully integrated Epic electronic medical recordOpportunities for program development Academic OpportunitiesGeisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine offers opportunities for teaching and mentoring general surgery residents and medical students. Faculty appointment is available.
