We are so glad you are interested in joining Sutter Health!Organization:SHSO-Sutter Health System Office-ValleyPosition Overview:Responsible for the management of workers' compensation claims for assigned self-insured affiliates. Manages claims from time reported until resolution. Works in a team environment with technical specialists, supervisor, claim manager and affiliate representatives. Partners with medical providers, and risk management professionals to ensure integration of claim issues.Job Description:Candidate must come on site 1 day per week plus for meetings, etc. for a minimum of 5 days a month.EDUCATION:Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diplomaBachelor'sCERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:SIP Certificate exam within 36 months of hireSuccessful completion of an IEA Certificate within 18 months of hireTYPICAL EXPERIENCE:5 years recent relevant experience.SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:Demonstrates thorough knowledge of California Workers’ Compensation law.Must have on the job and classroom training, experience and knowledge surrounding California’s Labor Code, estimating workers’ compensation costs, permanent disability rating and medical terminology.Proven oral and written communication skills. Communications must reflect knowledge of grammar in English composition and acceptable business letter format, as well as, industry jargon.Ability to ensure compliance with Standard Work and Claims Management Standards.Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information.Ability to work independently, maintain a balance of work priorities and complete assignments within established timeframes.Analytical skills, the ability to draw valid conclusions, and formulate sound recommendations.Organizational and planning skills, and the ability to manage and coordinate the activities related to an assigned caseload and the payment of workers’ compensation claims.Ability to work with diverse health and administrative professionals at all organizational levels.Computer literate and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Job Shift:DaysSchedule:Full TimeDays of the Week:Monday - FridayWeekend Requirements:NoneBenefits:YesUnions:NoPosition Status:ExemptWeekly Hours:40Employee Status:RegularSutter Health is an equal opportunity employer EOE/M/F/Disability/Veterans.Pay Range is $94,848.00 to $142,272.00 / annual salaryThe compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled.
