Candidates with substantial teaching and/or professional experience may be considered for appointment at the Teaching Faculty II level. We seek an outstanding educator with a strong passion for teaching, a demonstrated commitment to student success, and the ability to deliver high-quality instruction across the fundamental required courses in industrial engineering. As part of a highly ranked program with a strong commitment to our education mission, UW–Madison ISyE offers an exciting and collaborative environment for teaching professors who are passionate about innovation in engineering education and shaping the next generation of industrial and systems engineers.Key Job Responsibilities:Assists in developing techniques and/or model programs for carrying out instructional goals in disciplinary area and may help identify ways in which new techniques could be of assistanceProvides classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction, including gradingAssesses learner performance and prepares reports recommending instructional improvementsDevelops teaching techniques that enhance course effectiveness in alignment with desired outcomes and established strategySupervises the day to day activities of work unit employees involved in instructional support as neededMay make presentations to faculty and to staff members on instructional programs and techniques (for Teaching Faculty level II)Assists in defining the objectives of the program and plays a major role in carrying out program dutiesDepartment:College of Engineering, Industrial & Systems Engineering (ISyE)Compensation:The starting salary for the position is $70,000 (but is negotiable based on experience and qualifications). This position offers a comprehensive benefits package, including generous paid time off, competitively priced health/dental/vision/life insurance, tax-advantaged savings accounts, and participation in the nationally recognized Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS) pension fund.
