Job Title:Student Assistant - Bed ManagementDepartment:University Hospital | Physical Hospital Beds Management-JMResponsibilities are basic and routine in nature. This may include performing administrative duties in an office, assisting in a research laboratory, aid faculty/staff in supporting academic programs or patient care. Duties will be clear and direct. The Student Assistant will require excellent customer service and strong organizational skills and will represent the department and the university with the highest degree of integrity applying OSU mission and shared values. SCOPE OF POSITIONThe Student Position works under the Business Operations Manager for Bed Management to assess and manage needs of all beds within New University Hospital, Ross Heart Hospital, UH Rhodes, UH Doan, and UH Pavillion. The Bed Management team, as part of the University Hospital Bed Management Department, coordinates the technical support, movement, and maintenance of hospital beds within University Hospital.POSITION SUMMARYThe Student Assistant works as part of the Bed Management Team to assist with Operational Workflow Enhancement and Educational needs. Student Assistant will work with Business Operations Manager to assess and create Educational Tools to enhance bed knowledge throughout the organization. Minimum Education Requirement:HS Graduate or Equivalent or equivalent educ/expExperience: Enrolled in an Ohio State Masters Program.Additional Information:Location:University Hospital (0870)Position Type:Temporary (Fixed Term)Scheduled Hours:20Shift:First ShiftFinal candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check.
