Human Resources Generalist, Payroll & Total Rewards Achievement Centers for Children (ACC) is a Cleveland-area nonprofit organization that empowers children and adults with disabilities and their families to achieve and thrive. Through therapy, education, recreation, and family support services, we help individuals reach their full potential while strengthening communities across Northeast Ohio. Achievement Centers for Children is seeking a detail-oriented Human Resources professional to support payroll administration, employee benefits, workforce data management, and employee support activities. The HR Generalist, Payroll & Total Rewards serves as a key member of the Human Resources Operations team and acts as the organization's primary resource for payroll and benefits administration. This role is responsible for ensuring payroll accuracy, maintaining employee data, supporting benefit programs, and providing outstanding service to employees and managers. Payroll Administration Process bi-weekly payroll for Achievement Centers for Children (ACC) and North Coast Therapy Associates (NCTA). Review payroll data, timecards, earnings, deductions, and payroll reports for accuracy. Process payroll adjustments, corrections, and special payroll requests as needed. Partner with Human Resources and Finance to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing. Benefits Administration Administer employee benefits enrollments, life event changes, and eligibility updates. Serve as a resource for employee benefit questions and vendor coordination. Support annual open enrollment activities and employee education efforts. Perform benefit reconciliations and eligibility audits. HRIS & Workforce Data Administration Maintain employee, payroll, and benefits data within Paylocity. Process employee status changes, compensation changes, transfers, and terminations. Generate payroll, benefits, and workforce reports as requested. Support HRIS maintenance, testing, and process improvement initiatives. Employee Support & Service Delivery Serve as the primary point of contact for employee questions related to payroll, benefits, deductions, retirement plans, and workforce administration. Process employment verifications, wage verifications, and workforce documentation requests. Respond to employee inquiries in a timely, professional, and confidential manner. Support payroll and benefits communications and educational initiatives. Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to improve payroll and benefits processes. Develop and maintain payroll and benefits standard operating procedures. Recommend process improvements that improve accuracy, efficiency, and employee experience. Support departmental initiatives that strengthen Human Resources operations and service delivery. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Two or more years of payroll processing experience. Experience working with confidential employee information and maintaining a high level of accuracy. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Preferred Qualifications Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field. Experience with benefits administration, HRIS administration, or Human Resources support functions. Experience using Paylocity or a similar Human Resources Information System (HRIS). Experience supporting payroll, benefits, or workforce administration in a nonprofit, healthcare, education, or human services environment. Familiarity with Ohio regulatory requirements including DODD, ODJFS, and ODE. What You'll Bring Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
