Ourcampuses in Arlington, VA, Charlotte, N.C., San Francisco, Seattle, London, Toronto, andVancouver are platforms for undergraduate and graduate learning and collaborative research.SummaryReporting to the Managing Director of the Southeast Network Corridor, the Director ofPartnerships and Strategic Growth will serve as a senior member of the Northeastern MiamiCampus team responsible for the strategy and implementation of innovative initiatives andpartnerships that advance the university’s mission in the Miami region and across the SoutheastCorridor. This role carries an initial emphasis on health and the healthcare sector, reflectingMiami’s position as a dynamic hub for health innovation, life sciences, and a robust bilingual,internationally connected healthcare workforce. As the campus’s program portfolio diversifies,this role will expand to cultivate partnerships in other sectors aligned with institutional priorities,including entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystems.The Director of Partnerships and Strategic Growth plays a lead role in driving SoutheastCorridor activities and programs in alignment with both regional market needs andNortheastern’s strategic goals. This position works closely with Miami Campus leadership, theBouvé College of Health Sciences (including the Assistant Dean for Clinical Affairs andPartnerships), and other colleges and university stakeholders as needed. The Directorleverages institutional expertise to build, expand, and nurture strategic partnerships withindustry, philanthropic, governmental, and community stakeholders, while also contributing toenrollment pipeline development and thought leadership that elevates the Miami Campus’sregional profile.Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Education Administration, HealthcareAdministration, or a relevant field required; advanced degree strongly preferred.• Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience in business development, partnershipmanagement, or healthcare administration.• Direct healthcare or health sciences experience preferred; familiarity with the SouthFlorida healthcare landscape is a significant asset.• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred, reflecting Miami’s market andcommunity demographics.• Superior skills in corporate outreach, business development, and relationshipmanagement, with a demonstrated track record of converting prospects into active,sustained partnerships.• Mission-driven, with a passion for broadening participation in health sciences, workforcepipelines, and healthcare innovation.• Ability to develop and lead strategic initiatives from concept through completion;excellent management, organizational, and communication skills.• High degree of self-motivation and self-direction, with a proven track record ofcollaborative success in matrixed environments.• Organizational tact and diplomacy; ability to build trusted relationships with externalpartners, health system leaders, community stakeholders, and internal academicadministrators including Deans, Associate Deans, and Program Directors.• Experience tracking partnership activity and reporting outcomes against defined goalsand metrics.• Demonstrated ability to serve as an organizational ambassador, representing campusand Corridor strategic interests with credibility and professionalism.• Commitment to belonging, equity, and broadening access to health sciences education.• Flexibility for regional travel and availability for occasional extended-hour eventsKey Responsibilities & AccountabilitiesResponsibility % of Time: 30%Community EngagementEngage with healthcare leaders, providers, and Northeasternalumni to raise awareness of Northeastern’s and Bouvé’smission, centers of expertise in education and workforcedevelopment, and capabilities in scientific and clinical research.Cultivate relationships with community-focused organizations,non-profits, and civic institutions to create mutually beneficialpartnerships that advance local health equity and workforceinitiatives. Represent the Miami Campus in regional health andinnovation forums, conferences, and professional networks.Work with Northeastern college and network representatives toadvance community-based collaborations across the globaluniversity network.Industry Relationship GrowthResponsibility % of Time: 35%Develop and manage an active portfolio of health sectorpartnerships in consultation with Bouvé College, MiamiCampus leadership, and university stakeholders. Identify,cultivate, and convert new companies and organizations toactive partnerships with the Miami Campus annually, withmeasurable goals tied to enrollment pipeline, experientiallearning placements, and program visibility. Attend and presentat healthcare industry conferences, health and life sciencesevents, health innovation summits, and relevant communityforums. Operationalize partner engagement through high-valueevents, meetings, and programming aligned with partnerbusiness objectives. Report regularly to Campus leadership onpipeline status, conversion strategies, and active partnershipperformance.Relationship, Research & Operational ManagementResponsibility % of Time: 35%Maintain a current and comprehensive inventory of all existingpartnerships and relationships. Fully utilize university-wideplatforms (CRM and reporting tools) to track all partnershipengagement and inform future relationship developmentstrategy. Provide periodic internal and external reports andupdates to key stakeholders. Collaborate with marketing toincrease regional and Bouvé College visibility, promoteacademic programs, and enhance institution
