Athletics and Physical Education offers a diverse program of physical and outdoor education, recreational services, intramural sports and intercollegiate athletic competition, plus Wellness programs for faculty and staff and fitness centers for the entire Cornell community.   The Director of Operations, Women’s Basketball coordinates all operations of the Cornell University Women’s Basketball Team in accordance with Cornell, NCAA, and Ivy League rules. This role provides support for the women’s basketball staff and team by managing the day-to-day administrative operations of the program and working closely with the coaches, student-athletes, and colleagues in the Department of Athletics and Physical Education. The efforts of this position are done in collaboration with the Facilities Staff, the Cornell Sports Marketing staff, and Athletic Communications staff in order to support the advancement of the basketball community at Cornell. This individual assists the head coach with logistics to support the team, including but not limited to arranging team travel, organizing meals at home and on the road, planning and supporting alumni and team reunion activities, supervising social media content, planning logistics for recruiting visits, and managing equipment needs for the team. Additional responsibilities include uploading, breakdown, and sharing of team practice, scout, and game film. Frequent evening and weekend work is required, as well as travel during the basketball season. Beginning salary for this 10-months per year position is $56,000.
