Micron’s Registered Apprenticeship Program offers a distinct pathway, allowing you to develop specialized skills based on your interests and strengths:Equipment Technician Apprentice – Focus on maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving manufacturing equipment As a Technician Apprentice at Micron Technology in Boise, Idaho, you will be placed into one of these pathways while working in our world-class Technology Development Fab. Micron’s Apprenticeship Program follows an “earn and learn” model, combining on-the-job training with classroom education. Upon completion, apprentices earn a U.S. Department of Labor–recognized credential and gain experience for a long-term career. Key ResponsibilitiesPartner with production, engineering, and technician teams to support daily fab operationsMonitor performance, identify issues, and support operational efficiencyTroubleshoot equipment or process-related issues and support resolution effortsAccurately document work performed and communicate updates clearlyComplete required safety training and follow all safety protocolsSupport continuous improvement efforts across the fabAdhere to all apprenticeship program guidelines and expectationsLeveraging Artificial Intelligence Minimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GEDWillingness and ability to enroll in the College of Western Idaho as part of the apprenticeship program to pursue and complete one of the following Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degrees:STEM-focused Manufacturing Technology Associate degree  Advanced Mechatronics Technology (AMET)Basic to intermediate PC skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, Zoom)Strong time management and prioritization skillsReliable written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentFlexibility to work and rotate shifts as needed (including nights), with support for class schedulesPreferred Qualifications Equipment Path Interest:Mechanical aptitude or experience with equipment, tools, or repairsBasic knowledge of electrical systems or AC/DC circuitsWhat You’ll GainPaid, hands-on experience in semiconductor manufacturingA STEM Associate’s degree (AAS) while you workIndustry-recognized credential upon completionSpecialized experience in either equipment maintenance or process operationsA clear pathway for career growth and advancement within Micron’s technician and engineering organizationsAs a world leader in the semiconductor industry, Micron is dedicated to your personal wellbeing and professional growth.
