Mid-Level Employee Development SpecialistCompany:The Boeing CompanyThe Production System Training (PST) organization is currently seeking Mid- Level Employee Development Specialists to join their group in Salt Lake City, UT.This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in manufacturing skills and machining who has a passion for training the next generation of skilled workers. This position supports our internal New Hire Onboarding program and foundational skills instruction.Position Responsibilities:Conduct learning requirements analysis and establish learning objectivesDeliver content and assess effectiveness based on learning objectivesConduct coaching sessions to improve individual or group performancePerform as an instructor in a specialized content area from one or more of the following areas of Aerospace Skills expertise: Electrical, Structural, Quality, Systems, etc.Facilitate learning events and knowledge transfer by teaching and team coaching, observing and tracking student performance, adding key insights to enhance the delivery, conduct preparation, delivery and rostering of training to satisfy training requirementConduct training utilizing a variety of delivery methods and techniques, and customizes learning programs, courses, presentations and guidesEmphasize safety precautions to be taken in all training providedMaintain a positive and productive learning environment, and address any problem behaviors in the classroom promptly in accordance with policiesPerform individual and group assessments, and recommend process and performance improvementsConduct Train-the-Trainer Sessions to qualify additional instructorsUnderstand regulations and standards, ensure delivery of courseware complies with commercial, government, regulatory and organizational standards and specificationsUse of chemicals possible in delivery of coursesBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):3+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing operations and/or manufacturing supportExperience working with detailed work instructions or reading and interpreting blueprints and drawingsPreferred Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):Experience designing and employing leadership development courseware and/or curriculumExperience in coaching, instructing or as an employee development specialistAerospace Manufacturing and Lean Certification(s)Experience with Structural, Electrical, Repair, Functional Test, Seal, Systems, etc.Experience as a mechanic working with structural, mechanical, electrical, or other systemsExperience in the following areas: Electrician/Structure/Wing/Spar Assembly, Needs Assessment and Job AnalysisConflict of Interest:Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.Drug Free Workplace:Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Pay & Benefits:At Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
