Quality Multi-Family Mgr (Multi - Job Leadership)Company:Boeing Aerospace OperationsBoeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a First Line Quality Manager to support the B-52 Wi-FiQuality team in San Antonio, TX!This position will be based primarily in San Antonio and require some on-site support at our Oklahoma City, OK location.The First Line Quality Manager will be hands-on and focused on day-to-day quality assurance and process control. Manages frontline quality specialists, analyzes data, reviews trends and creates recovery plans to ensure timely resolution of production issues to meet schedule and safety targets. Collaborates closely with internal customer and suppliers, manufacturing, test, and engineering to implement corrective actions and sustainable process improvements.Position Responsibilities: Manages employees performing quality inspection, engineering and technical activities on or in support of programs through all phases of the product lifecycleDevelops quality strategies and plans in support of new business acquisition and execution of program/business plansProvides education and coaching on the Quality SystemAcquires and manages resources, provides quality technical management and leads performance improvementsDevelops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reportsOversees review of technical information to ensure quality and producibilityManages, develops and motivates employeesBoeing First-Line Leader Assessment: To be considered for this position you will be required to complete an assessment as part of the selection process. Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):5+ years of experience working in or supporting a manufacturing environment1+ year of experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) processes and implementing corrective actionsCandidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross-functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership”Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Bachelor’s Degree or higher1+ year of experience with team building, developing and motivating employees1+ year of experience working with Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) and Department of Defense (DOD) contractsExperience leading key process, quality, and continuous improvement initiativesConflict of Interest:Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment processDrug Free Workplace:Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Travel:This position requires travel up to 10% of the timeShift: This role is primarily first shift; however, there may be additional shift requirements to support program objectivesTotal Rewards: At Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
