Because doing so can fuel the very innovation we are pursuing.Job SummaryThe Senior Director, Procurement, Assembly Test Materials & Outsourced Manufacturing leads the global strategy, sourcing, and supplier ecosystem for assembly, test materials, and outsourced manufacturing. This role is accountable for delivering cost competitiveness, supply assurance, and long-term resilience across a complex semiconductor value chain.Partnering closely with engineering, manufacturing, and business leaders, the role drives category strategies, supplier performance, and risk mitigation while enabling Micron’s growth and innovation priorities. Success in this role requires deep semiconductor domain expertise, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to lead large, global teams to deliver enterprise-level outcomes.Main ResponsibilitiesDefine and execute global procurement strategies for assembly, test materials, components, and outsourced manufacturing services to support business growth and operational excellenceLead category management, ensuring cost competitiveness, supply continuity, and alignment with Micron’s strategic and financial objectivesBuild and manage strategic supplier partnerships, driving collaboration, performance accountability, and continuous improvement across the supplier ecosystemEnsure supply assurance through proactive capacity planning, demand-supply alignment, and risk mitigation strategies, including development of resilient global sourcing networksDrive end-to-end sourcing execution, including commercial negotiations, contract management, and supplier performance governance Lead cost optimization initiatives and negotiations to achieve best-in-class total cost of ownershipPartner with cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, supply chain) to support product, technology, and operational requirementsLead, develop, and scale a high-performing global procurement organization, including leading leaders and building long-term capabilityEstablish KPIs and performance frameworks to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement across procurement and supplier performanceProvide strategic leadership aligned to corporate priorities, ensuring clear line of sight from category execution to enterprise outcomesOther ResponsibilitiesDrive supplier diversity, sustainability, and responsible sourcing initiatives aligned with Micron’s commitmentsStrengthen procurement analytics, predictive capabilities, and digital transformation initiativesRepresent procurement in executive-level forums and contribute to enterprise strategic planningSupport crisis management and rapid response for supply disruptions or geopolitical risksMentor emerging leaders and build succession pipelines within the procurement organizationIntegrate AI-enabled tools and predictive insights into procurement, sourcing, and supplier management to improve decision quality and efficiencyIdentify and scale AI-driven opportunities (e.g., demand forecasting, risk analytics, cost modeling) within procurement operationsFoster a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement through responsible AI adoptionCandidate Profile / Job RequirementsMinimum Required Qualifications / ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or equivalent practical experience15+ years of experience across semiconductor manufacturing, procurement, or supplier managementProven experience operating at a global or enterprise leadership level, driving cross-functional business outcomesTrack record in managing complex supplier ecosystems and outsourced manufacturing modelsMust Have Technical SkillsDeep understanding of semiconductor assembly, test, materials, and outsourced manufacturing landscape (technical, operational, and commercial dimensions)Strong commercial acumen with experience negotiating complex, high-value agreementsExpertise in category strategy, cost modeling, and total cost of ownership optimizationStrong knowledge of global supply chain risks, capacity planning, and supplier performance managementFamiliarity with procurement analytics, digital tools, and data-driven decision-makingMust Have Soft SkillsStrong enterprise leadership capability, including leading leaders and influencing across global organizationsStrategic thinking with the ability to translate vision into executionExceptional stakeholder management and communication skills across executive and operational levelsHigh resilience and decision-making capability in complex, ambiguous environmentsAbility to build and lead high-performing, scalable teamsAI RequirementsDemonstrates strong digital fluency and ability to leverage AI-enabled tools in procurement, analytics, and decision-makingApplies AI responsibly in alignment with organizational standards and governanceHighly Desirable / PreferredExperience in outsourced semiconductor assembly and test (OSAT) ecosystemExposure to global manufacturing networksExperience leading procurement transformation or digital initiativesStrong understanding of semiconductor market dynamics and macro trendsEmbody Micron’s Core ValuesPeople – Respect, develop, and empower othersInnovation – Drive continuous improvement and breakthrough thinkingTenacity – Demonstrate grit and resilienceCollaboration – Build trust across global teams and partnersCustomer Focus – Deliver value and enable business successAbout Micron Technology, Inc.We are an industry leader in innovative memory and storage solutions transforming how the world uses information to enrich life for all.
