Senior Industrial Security Specialist - Communications Security (COMSEC) CustodianCompany:The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Industrial Security Specialist, COMSEC Custodian to join the team in El Segundo, CA. This position will be supporting Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) and will be responsible for supporting the Communications Security (COMSEC) efforts in Southern California. Position Responsibilities:Conduct secure equipment (e.g., secure telephone and encryption devices) and classified keying material inventories, inspections and other COMSEC related support and oversight functionsPerform installation of secure telephone equipment (STE) and coordinate to deliver encryption device(s) and keying material to select Information Technology (IT) specialist maintaining classified networksMaintain records and accountability of COMSEC materials site wideEnsure COMSEC materials are properly received, hand-receipted and transferredAcquire and issue materials to program personnelConduct inventories per agency policy and report any discrepancy to government customerCourier classified information and authors receipt for classified materialsEnforce compliance with United States Government (USG) COMSEC standards by team members by providing security education and training on operating proceduresEnsure Automated Information Systems Security requirements, related to COMSEC duties, are in complianceTrain personnel in COMSEC procedures and the use of related equipmentWork in an open production environment, using proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and requiring the use of basic tools, and observing production facility requirementsAccess equipment in confined, elevated, or hard-to-reach areas, which may include:climbing ladderswalking on aircraft wings or surfacescrawling around aircraft or other confined spacesreaching under desks or equipmentopening storage units and accessing upper and lower shelvesBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Successfully completed Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the last 5 years, or requires candidate to have been enrolled in a Continuous Vetting program within the last 5 years5+ years of experience working in government industry and/or in DoD, NSA or SCI COMSEC account management5+ years of experience in Industrial Security5+ years of experience working with COMSEC materialsCurrent Communication Security (COMSEC) Training CertificateAbility to perform the physical requirements of this role, including extended periods of walking, standing, and climbing steps within indoor and outdoor environmentsAbility to perform physical activities such as climbing, bending, kneeling and liftingAbility to climb ladders at heights up to 15 feet and stairs on a regular basisAbility to lift up to 35 poundsWilling and able to work in confined spacesPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Experience training peers in the use of COMSEC equipment and proceduresKMI Schoolhouse training completion certificateBachelor's degree or equivalent work or military experience5+ years of experience communicating with internal and external customers5+ years of experience as a primary COMSEC CustodianExperience troubleshooting COMSEC equipmentConflict of Interest:Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.Drug Free Workplace:Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Pay & Benefits:At Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
