Field Service Rep (Defense) - Miho, JapanCompany:Boeing Japan Kabushiki KaishaBoeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an Experienced Field Service Representative (FSR) to support the KC-46 aircraft at Miho Air Base, Japan.We are looking for a KC-46 operations and maintenance expert to serve as an on-site Field Service Representative (FSR). The objective of this position is to identify remedies to aircraft anomalies so the JASDF can return aircraft to fully mission capable status. In this position you'll provide overall air vehicle technical support, guidance and expertise by working with JASDF personnel directly by researching anomalies, troubleshooting issue, and offering “over the shoulder” guidance.Working hours will nominally be 5-days a week (Monday to Friday), 7.5-hours per day. Additionally, FSRs must be willing to work flexible hours depends on urgent needs.(i.e. on-call 24 hours per day, and 7 days per week) as the job requires. Deployment travel is anticipated to occur once annually.You are applying for a Field Operations position where our employees must be willing and able (potentially short notice) to travel to a variety of locations (domestic and/or international) to meet the needs of our customers.Field Operations employees may be required to relocate to another Field Operations location based on customer needs and/or management requirements.Specific contracts supported by Field Operations could require employees to perform a deployment to a US DOD contingency operation. Employees associated with these specific contracts must be able to pass military contractor health standards for deployment.Position Responsibilities:Providing technical guidance in the normal operation and maintenance of the KC-46Investigating system and sub-system issues and analyzing hardware and software issues to determine root causeResolving technical issues dealing with airframe and mission systems.Supplementing local training by providing technical guidance and informal on-the-job training (OJT) for aircraft and support equipmentBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):A current passportMinimum 3 years of experience with large aircraft/767 maintenance or operations roleMinimum 3 years of experience/knowledge in the areas of avionics, general aircraft, and propulsionAbility to read and interpret drawings, wiring schematics, and maintenance task proceduresExperience teaching peers in a non-classroom settingAt the sole discretion of leadership, must be willing and able (on potentially short-notice) to deploy/travel to a variety of locations (domestic and international) and for a variety of deployment durations to meet customer needs and the statement of work. Unless compelling reasons exist, failure to deploy/travel will be considered as a resignation.At the sole discretion of leadership, must be willing and able to relocate to a variety of locations (domestic and international) to meet customer needs and the statement of work. Native-level Japanese language speakerBusiness-level English language speakerPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Experience with KC-46 aircraft in a maintenance and/or operations roleExperience with air refueling aircraftExperience using Boeing web-based Information Systems such as My Boeing Fleet, VECTOR (technical inquiry request system), REDARS, and PSDSAvionics systems troubleshooting skillsPrevious military experience or extensive familiarity with military operation and maintenance proceduresFamiliarity using Aircraft Maintenance Manuals, Illustrated Part CatalogsJapan Civil Aviation Bureau (Kokukyoku) Aircraft Maintenance Engineer license (Koku Seibishi): First Class Aircraft Maintenance Engineer or First Class Line Maintenance Engineer certificationExperience working with military customersLocation:This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location site. (Miho, Japan)Relocation: Domestic relocation assistance is partly a negotiable benefit for this position.
