Find your future with us.Our ObjectivesBoeing Korea Engineering and Technology Center (BKETC) is seeking a high potential Embedded Software Engineers (Hardware Emulation) - Associate/Experience to join our Software Engineering team in Seoul, Korea, Republic of. This work includes developing emulations of key embedded systems for use on multiple platforms for Boeing commercial and defense products.  Specifically, this role will be an individual who will contribute to activities related to the development and integration of test environments, virtual machines, models and simulations in the creation of high-fidelity digital twins.Primary Responsibilities:Be able to work independently or as part as a teamDesign, implement, and maintain QEMU-based device and platform models; integrate and validate software components (firmware, drivers, and applications) to provide accurate and performant system-level emulation, including automated tests and CI pipeline support.Assists with test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are metSupports software project management and software supplier management functionsSelects, tailors and deploys processes and tools; establishes metricsPerforms software research and trade studiesTroubleshoots software issues and can work under general supervisionDemonstrate strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across cross‑functional teams and stakeholders.Show a strong passion for developing high‑quality products, ensuring attention to detail and user value.Exhibit a highly motivated, “roll up your sleeves” attitude with a strong drive for success and teamwork.Maintain enthusiasm for learning new technologies and expanding skill sets; proactively seek opportunities for professional growth and applied learning.Required Basic Qualifications: Bachelor degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.Proficiency in C programming(primary), Familiarity with C++ preferredExperience with ARM, PowerPC, or x86 microprocessor architecturesExperience in Windows, Linux and real-time operating systemsExperience working in an Agile software development environmentStrong verbal and written communication skills in English and Korean Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Computer Architecture fundamentals, including microprocessor, instruction set, memory hierarchy, memory mapped I/O, interruptsHands on experience in Virtualization technologies, e.g. KVM, QEMUSocket, Pipes, Shared memory, Process, ThreadsExperience with development or debugging of bootloadersExperience with networking protocolsExperience with embedded system peripherals and protocols such as I2C, SPI, RS-232, SATA, IDE, PCI, and flash memoryExperience with MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429, ARINC 664Experience with scripting languages, e.g. Python, BashExperience in Git and with software development in Visual Studio CodeUnderstanding of docker containers and DevSecOps techniquesJob Levels:Level 2: typically, 2 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceLevel 3: typically, 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceThis position will be hired on a 2 year fixed term contract with possibility to convert to an open ended contract, subject to business conditions and individual performance. Location:This position is expected to be 100% onsite.
