Job Title: Operations LeadJob Category: Information TechnologyTime Type: Full timeMinimum Clearance Required to Start: NoneEmployee Type: RegularPercentage of Travel Required: NoneType of Travel: None* * *The Opportunity:The Operations Lead oversees enterprise batch processing, payment disbursement execution, financial system integrations, and multi-agency coordination supporting the VA’s mission critical financial management systems. This role provides technical leadership across environments, directs high volume processing operations, leads a team, provides direction, engages with VA leadership and stakeholders, supports the customer outside of non-core business hours, serves as a key liaison with Treasury, federal partners, and senior VA executives.Responsibilities:OPERATIONAL LEADERSHIPLead a team responsible for Batch Operations for VA, managing over 1000 jobs per day across five environmentsOversee and execute payment disbursements in coordination with TreasurySupport Accounting Year End and Annual Close processesLead Wave go live coordination and schedule planningLead and coordinate Disaster Recovery exercisesSupport customers outside non-core business hours to maintain operational continuityTECHNICAL ADMINISTRATION AND TROUBLESHOOTINGAdminister OpenShift including log reviews and platform supportLead Control M administration including scheduling, automation packages, upgrades, license tracking, and trainingManage Linux server administration including FTP, account management, and access controlsUse Shell, Perl, SQL, and WebMethods for automation and operational supportTroubleshoot and debug complex issues using Java and C++ logsLead, validate, and coordinate data fixesSupport iFAMS configuration updatesProvide user provisioning supportSECURITY, COMPLIANCE, AND CONNECTIVITY Create and maintain ATO security documentationCoordinate with Network Operations to enable secure external connectionsProvide audit support including documentation, traceability, and evidenceCROSS AGENCY AND EXECUTIVE COORDINATIONServe as liaison with Treasury, GSA, USDA, US Bank, and other external partners for MOUs, ISAs, and system connectivityEngage with VA leadership and stakeholders; prepare and deliver status updatesSupport O&M status gathering and reporting for Program leadershipTEAM LEADERSHIPServe as Agile planning lead and Scrum MasterManage team tasking, delivery commitments, and progress trackingMentor and develop team membersProvide direction and leadership oversight to ensure cohesive team executionQualifications:Required:Experience leading operations in complex enterprise environments with high volume batch pipelinesExpertise in Control M, OpenShift, Linux, scripting languages, and SQLExperience with federal financial systems or large-scale payment operationsAbility to troubleshoot multi language technical issuesExperience producing ATO aligned documentation and supporting auditsStrong communication skills for executive and cross agency interactionDemonstrated Agile leadership experienceProven experience leading a team and providing direction in demanding operational environmentsDesired:Experience with iFAMS, VA financial systems, or Treasury integrationsFamiliarity with DR and COOP events, federal financial infrastructure, and audit driven environmentsBackground in ERP or large-scale system integration-What You Can Expect: A culture of integrity.At CACI, we place character and innovation at the center of everything we do.
