Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.Collins Aerospace is seeking an Onsite – Marlborough, MA, Reliability, Maintainability, and Safety (RMS) EngineerWhat You will do:As a Reliability, Maintainability, and Safety (RMS) Engineer, you will work across disciplines at all stages in a product’s lifecycle to guarantee a safe and reliable system from development to disposal. With acute eye and attention to detail ensure requirements compliance and the safety and reliability of personnel, equipment, and environment.Supports program lifecycle through the application of reliability, maintainability, and safety techniques  Participates in all phases of program life cycle, utilizing reliability and maintainability methodologies as they apply in our systems engineering processes in accordance with military standards such as MIL-HDBK-217, MIL-HDBK-338B, MIL-HDBK-470, MIL-STD-1629AProvides input to the development of Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Reliability & Maintainability analysis and predictions, Reliability Critical Items List, and Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS)Perform hazard analysis on complex systems per MIL-STD-882ETrack, propose, and mitigate system hazards at various stages of a programConduct reviews of safety and human factors concerns both internally and externallyFacilitate safe and useable systems through participating in design reviewsParticipate in specification and Statement of Work (SOW) reviews to identify system safety and human factors requirementsReview, monitor, and track hazardous materials (e.g. NAS-411) used throughout systems and any mitigations that may be necessarySupport compliance audits that demonstrate how internal processes and procedures are used on programsQualifications You Must Have:Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineer, Aerospace Engineering, related Science, or (STEM) major.Experience  in Microsoft Office software suiteThe ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
