Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. Raytheon’s Effector RF Design Department is responsible for designing RF and Microwave hardware, including transmitters, receivers, exciters, antennas, and radomes.  This includes design and test activities that span preliminary design to integration.  Products we develop support radar and datalink applications on a variety of tactical missile programs. This position is an onsite role, located in Tucson, AZ.What You Will Do:Work in a lab to accomplish component and circuit card characterization, verification, and integrationWork with a multi-disciplined engineering team executing RF hardware testing and debugging of complex circuit card assemblies or electro-mechanical systems.Test and handle sensitive RF HardwareTrain and mentor new hires in the labTest and troubleshoot circuit card assemblies (CCAs) with RF or mixed signalsCommunicate technical information to a wide audienceTravel Requirements: less than 10% annuallyShift Information: 1st shiftQualifications You Must Have:Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience to include any combination of the following:Experience with RF circuit card testing and troubleshootingExperience with laboratory equipment including waveform generators, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and / or network analyzersExperience preparing documentation, including test plans and test reports, with minimal oversightAbility to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain special program access after start.  Qualifications We Prefer:Mentorship or apprenticeship experienceTechnical oversight responsibilities for less-senior engineersSelf-starter who’s capable of working independently as well as with a small technical team.  Providing technical oversight and direction, tracking & reporting, coordination, preparation of detailed technical team reports, and proposal support.Technical background in the following areas:Testing Amplifiers, filters, mixers, VCOs, and SynthesizersRF & Mixed signal circuit card assembly design and fabricationTest plan creation and test report authoringWhat We OfferOur values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
