Senior Technical Designer, Jordan Energy Apparel

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITHThis role sits within the Jordan Apparel Technical Design team—craft‑obsessed, fast, and precise. The role partners daily with Design, Product Management, Materials, Color, Quality, Manufacturing, and the Product Creation Center to turn bold ideas into finished product with purpose and performance.WHO WE ARE LOOKING FORThe Senior Technical Designer coordinates the fit and construction from initial concept through to commercialization and production for assigned styles to lead to on time development and delivery according to critical dates, product specification, and sustainability, performance and profitability goals.This person will also create and revise Tech Packs for assigned styles and ensure all appropriate development documentation is maintained including product specs and prototype notes.  In addition, the Senior Technical Designer will execute fit and construction standards for a team or product group to ensure consistency. You will track and facilitate prototyping for styles; identify and address key issues and challenges in construction/manufacturing and plans accordingly to deliver proven and tested product. Additionally, you will monitor and communicate progress and challenges throughout the product testing process to meet product integrity requirements.The Senior Technical Designer keeps attune of market trends, team goals, new technologies and consumer needs throughout the development process and engages appropriately to ensure projects are completed within corporate guidelines and goals for all facets of product creation.Bachelor’s degree in Apparel Design, Textile Science, or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and trainingA minimum of 5 years directly relevant work experienceAdditional experience working in the apparel industry, which includes the apparel development process from inception through production including pattern making, grading, construction, materials, costing, manufacturing and quality.Strong problem solving, organization and communication skills.Experience interpreting design intent and offering alternative solutions.Experience writing product specs and construction standards instructions.Experience working with factory vendors to ensure and improve manufacturability.Ability to manage multiple projects.Experience using Adobe Illustrator, CAD Pattern Design software (Optitex) and 3D software (Clo/Browzwear) highly desired.Proficiency with MS Office programs.Ability to travel up to 10% of the time (domestic and international).WHAT YOU’LL WORK ONIn this role you will also be responsible for the Technical Design of assigned styles product in Jordan Global Apparel.  Working with Technical Development, Product Management and Product Creation Center (Asia) on tailoring the product to the specific consumer needs. Manage assigned styles within the Jordan Apparel Technical Design team, collaborating daily with Development, Product Management, Materials, Color, Quality, Manufacturing, and the Product Creation CenterCreate and maintain detailed tech packs for factory partners, including measurements, construction sketches, and graphic placementsRequest, track, review, and comment on physical and digital prototypes; lead focused proto review sessionsNavigate gates, calendars, and key milestones to ensure on‑time production readinessCommunicate progress, risks, and solutions with clarity in a fast‑paced, highly collaborative environmentWe offer a number of accommodations to complete our interview process including screen readers, sign language interpreters, accessible and single location for in-person interviews, closed captioning, and other reasonable modifications as needed.
