Become a part of our caring community The Senior Product Owner is responsible for conveying product vision and roadmap to an Agile delivery team by defining user stories and prioritizing product backlog. The Senior Product Owner work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.The Senior Product Owner will work to maximize the value of the product they support and serve as the team's primary contact for information, work prioritization, and decision-making for owned work. They act as a liaison between business stakeholders and the development team and manage projects between IT and the various clinical groups supporting Utilization Management processes. Responsibilities include the following:Gathering and documenting business system and functional requirementsInfluencing system design to optimize support and ensure solutions meet the business objectives and requirements.Completion and/or coordination of implementation of design and requirements, testing, operational readiness, and transition to the appropriate production support team.Facilitation of meetings with business partners and IT partners to discuss and document business needs in a way that will support IT development.Coordination across teams on milestones and implementation of the project deliverables.Communication with IT and business project managers to align on status and for reporting out to leadership.Attendance at regular meetings to ensure quality delivery of projectsEscalation of barriers and risks in a timely manner & help with resolutionSuccess in this position requires the following:A strong desire to deliver new and improved system functionality to those who support and serve our membersAn understanding of current system capabilities and business processes to determine downstream and upstream impacts of changesExcellent communication skills with all levels of the organizationStrong critical thinking and analytical skills, with strict attention to detailsAbility to collaborate effectively and influence others without authorityWillingness to pivot based on daily developments and adapt quickly to changing prioritiesAbility to work independently and efficiently to manage multiple competing projects and initiativesUse your skills to make an impact  Required Qualifications3+ years of experience in technology implementations and/or product managementExperience as a Product Owner managing a Scrum team to include story/requirement documentation and understanding, sprint planning, socialization sessions, PI planningKnowledge of Agile Development MethodologiesExperience problem solving and providing consultation within complex environmentsExperience facilitating cross-functional teams' effortsPreferred QualificationsClinical Utilization Management experience including knowledge of authorization workflowFHIR authorization transaction knowledgeBachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Health Information Systems or a related technical fieldAdditional InformationWork-At-Home RequirementsTo ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates' ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates must meet the following criteria:At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggestedSatellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadershipAssociates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expenseHumana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/jobWork from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA informationTravel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.Scheduled Weekly Hours40Pay RangeThe compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc. $94,900 - $130,500 per year This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
