This role supports the full project lifecycle including design, construction, testing, commissioning, handover, and sustaining operations.The position partners with global and regional teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to high-quality standards, while advancing innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence across Micron’s global network. Main ResponsibilitiesLead construction engineering activities for semiconductor facilities across design, construction, commissioning, and operations phasesProvide technical engineering support to construction teams to drive project execution and operational excellenceManage scope, schedule, cost, and quality to meet project and business requirementsSupport large-scale greenfield fab projects across U.S. and Asia, ensuring compliance with standards and regulatory requirementsReview engineering design packages and provide timely, documented feedbackMonitor construction progress and resolve technical issues during project executionSupport cost estimation, scheduling, and business case developmentCoordinate with internal teams and external consultants to ensure alignment with project goalsDrive continuous improvement in construction practices with a focus on efficiency, innovation, and sustainabilityOther ResponsibilitiesBuild effective collaboration across facilities, procurement, manufacturing, IT, and operations teamsCommunicate project updates, risks, and key milestones to stakeholders and leadershipIdentify risks, escalate issues proactively, and recommend mitigation strategiesSupport root cause analysis and technical problem-solving across global sitesContribute to development and standardization of Best Known Methods (BKMs)Drive alignment of engineering priorities with global facilities strategiesLead or support capacity planning and scenario analysis across site networksSupport sustainability initiatives aligned with corporate goalsAI ResponsibilitiesIntegrate AI-assisted tools into engineering and project workflows to enhance efficiency, quality, and decision-makingIdentify opportunities to apply AI-driven insights in construction engineering, data analysis, and project planningContribute to continuous improvement by sharing AI-enabled best practices within the teamCandidate Profile / Job RequirementsMinimum Required Qualifications / ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Construction, Building, Engineering, Project Management, or related fieldMinimum 8 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in construction projects as a Mechanical EngineerExperience in EPCM project environmentsAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and specificationsExperience in cost and schedule managementAbility to work in a global, multicultural team environmentMust Have Technical Skills (2–5)Strong knowledge of construction engineering practices in semiconductor or similar industriesExperience in project controls, cost management, and schedulingAbility to evaluate engineering designs and technical specificationsFamiliarity with construction execution, commissioning, and handover processesExpertise in technical problem-solving and root cause analysisMust Have Soft Skills Strong communication and stakeholder management skillsAnalytical thinking and problem-solving capabilityAbility to lead, coordinate, and influence cross-functional teamsStrong organizational and project management skillsProactive and collaborative working styleAI RequirementsAbility to apply baseline digital fluency and AI literacy to utilize AI-enabled tools for engineering analysis, problem-solving, and operational efficiencyHighly Desirable / Preferred Skills or ExperienceProfessional certification or membership in a recognized engineering bodyExperience working on semiconductor fab or large industrial projectsExperience in greenfield construction projectsKnowledge of sustainability practices in construction and facilitiesExperience working across global or regional teams Embody Micron’s Core ValuesPeople – Respect, develop, and empower othersInnovation – Drive continuous improvementTenacity – Demonstrate resilience and determinationCollaboration – Build strong partnershipsCustomer Focus – Deliver excellence and valueAbout Micron Technology, Inc.We are an industry leader in innovative memory and storage solutions transforming how the world uses information to enrich life for all.
