Because doing so can fuel the very innovation we are pursuing.Senior Engineer – Global Facilities Central Engineering, Construction (Water & Waste)Job SummaryProvide water and waste construction engineering support for semiconductor facility projects across the U.S. and Asia, covering the full project lifecycle from design through commissioning and handover. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to required quality standards, while supporting global consistency, sustainability, and operational excellence.Main ResponsibilitiesLead water and waste construction engineering across project lifecycle (design, construction, commissioning, and handover)Drive delivery of large-scale fab projects in alignment with scope, schedule, cost, and quality requirementsReview and validate water, wastewater, and environmental system designs to ensure compliance with standards, codes, and project requirementsProvide technical support to resolve construction, installation, and design issuesMonitor construction progress and ensure timely resolution of technical challengesSupport development of project cost estimates, schedules, and business justificationsCoordinate consultants and contractors to ensure effective and aligned project executionOther ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with cross-functional teams (facilities, procurement, manufacturing, operations, IT) to ensure project alignmentCommunicate project updates, risks, and key decisions to stakeholders and leadershipIdentify and mitigate project risks proactivelySupport root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiativesContribute to development and standardization of Best Known Methods (BKMs)Support sustainability programs, particularly water conservation, waste reduction, and environmental complianceSupport capacity planning and infrastructure optimization across global sitesAI ResponsibilitiesApply AI-assisted tools to improve engineering analysis, system optimization, and project execution efficiencyIdentify opportunities to leverage data and AI for enhanced decision-making and environmental system performanceShare and adopt AI-enabled best practices to support continuous improvementCandidate Profile / Job RequirementsMinimum Required Qualifications / ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental, Construction, Engineering, or related disciplineMinimum 8 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in construction projects as a Water or Waste EngineerExperience in EPCM project environmentsStrong ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and water/waste system designsExperience in cost and schedule managementAbility to work effectively in global, multicultural teamsWillingness to travel as requiredMust Have Technical SkillsWater and wastewater systems engineering (e.g., treatment, distribution, waste handling)Construction engineering and project execution expertiseProject controls (cost, schedule, and risk management)Engineering design review and regulatory compliance validationTechnical problem-solving and root cause analysisMust Have Soft SkillsStrong communication and stakeholder managementLeadership and coordination across multi-disciplinary teamsAnalytical thinking and decision-making capabilityStrong organizational and planning skillsAbout Micron Technology, Inc.We are an industry leader in innovative memory and storage solutions transforming how the world uses information to enrich life for all.
