Because doing so can fuel the very innovation we are pursuing.Senior Engineer – Global Facilities Central Engineering, Construction (Electrical)Job SummaryProvide electrical construction engineering support for semiconductor facility projects across the U.S. and Asia, covering the full project lifecycle from design through commissioning and handover. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to required quality standards, while supporting global consistency, innovation, and sustainability.Main ResponsibilitiesLead electrical construction engineering across the full project lifecycle (design, construction, commissioning, and handover)Drive delivery of large-scale fab projects in alignment with scope, schedule, cost, quality, and safety requirementsReview and validate electrical system designs to ensure compliance with standards, codes, and project specificationsProvide technical support to resolve construction, installation, and design-related issuesMonitor construction progress and ensure timely resolution of technical challengesSupport development of project cost estimates, schedules, and business justificationsCoordinate consultants and contractors to ensure efficient and aligned project executionOther ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with cross-functional teams (facilities, procurement, manufacturing, operations, IT) to ensure alignment with project objectivesCommunicate project updates, risks, and key decisions to stakeholders and leadershipIdentify and mitigate project risks proactivelySupport root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiativesContribute to development and standardization of Best Known Methods (BKMs)Support sustainability programs and capacity planning initiatives across sitesAI ResponsibilitiesApply AI-assisted tools to improve engineering analysis, project planning, and execution efficiencyIdentify opportunities to leverage data and AI to enhance decision-making and optimize workflowsShare and adopt AI-enabled best practices to support continuous improvementCandidate Profile / Job RequirementsMinimum Required Qualifications / ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction, Engineering, or related disciplineMinimum 8 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in construction projects as an Electrical EngineerExperience in EPCM project environmentsStrong ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and electrical system designsExperience in cost and schedule managementAbility to work effectively in global, multicultural teamsWillingness to travel as requiredMust Have Technical SkillsExperience in designing and supporting electrical systems in the semiconductor industrial environmentsElectrical system design review and compliance validationProject execution and project controls (cost, schedule, and risk management)Strong technical problem-solving and root cause analysis capabilitiesMust Have Soft SkillsStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary teamsAnalytical thinking and decision-making capabilityStrong organizational and planning skillsAI RequirementsAbility to apply digital fluency and AI tools effectively for engineering analysis, reporting, and decision-makingPreferred Skills / ExperienceExperience in semiconductor or large industrial facility projectsExperience with large-scale or greenfield construction projectsProfessional certification or membership in a recognized engineering bodyExperience working across regional or global teamsKnowledge of sustainability practices in facilities and constructionEmbody Micron’s Core ValuesPeople – Respect, develop, and empower othersInnovation – Drive continuous improvementTenacity – Demonstrate resilience and determinationCollaboration – Build strong partnershipsCustomer Focus – Deliver excellence and valueAbout Micron Technology, Inc.We are an industry leader in innovative memory and storage solutions transforming how the world uses information to enrich life for all.
