Together, you will contribute to technology that has the potential to make a real difference in patients’ lives.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:Lead a team of high-performing researchers to develop innovative algorithmic solutions that support and advance our medical device from the fields of Machine Learning, Computer Vision, and Image ProcessingRepresent the algorithm team in global forums and communicate ongoing progress, key results, risks, and challenges to global stakeholdersLead the algorithm development lifecycle: research, design, implement, validate, document and optimize algorithms for our products Provide technical direction and mentorship to algorithm developers; conduct design/code reviews and ensure best practices and high-quality deliverablesPartner with Data, Software, Systems, Clinical, and Product teams to define requirements, plan milestones, manage risks, and drive end-to-end delivery from prototyping to productionRequired Knowledge and Experience:B.Sc. in Computer Science/Software Engineering/EE/other relevant field or equivalent work experience – MustMSc. or PhD in Computer Science/Software Engineering/EE/other relevant field - AdvantageProficiency and proven experience in developing, optimizing, validating, and deploying machine learning algorithms, deep learning techniques, and AI models to productionPassion for continuous learning and staying updated on AI advancements and trends7+ years of R&D experience (algorithms / ML), including ownership of end-to-end deliveryProven leadership experience (team lead / tech lead), including mentoring, prioritization, and driving execution across multiple stakeholders3+ years of hands-on experience in Python (ability to lead by example with production-quality code)Team player with very strong leadership and communication skills; able to influence and align across R&D and cross-functional stakeholdersStructured problem solver with sound technical judgment and data-driven decision makingHigh ownership: able to plan, prioritize, and drive tasks end-to-end while unblocking others and managing risks Physical Job RequirementsThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.   Benefits & CompensationMedtronic offers a competitive Salary and flexible Benefits PackageA commitment to our employees lives at the core of our values.
