Job description

We are seeking a Risk Capital Team Lead to support the Capital Risk team within the Capital Risk Department, based in Budapest. As a member of our risk management department, you will gain insights into global capital management for regulatory and business purposes.In the Firm Risk Management division, we advise businesses across the Firm on risk mitigation strategies, develop tools to analyse and monitor risks and lead key regulatory initiatives.Since 1935, Morgan Stanley is known as a global leader in financial services, always evolving and innovating to better serve our clients and our communities in more than 40 countries around the world.What you'll do in the role:Oversee regulatory capital production, control and reporting framework to meet minimum capital requirementsParticipate and contribute to the delivery of large, complex regulatory projectsUnderstand the Firm’s portfolios and businesses from a risk standpointDeliver clear, concise and precise responses to information requests from internal and external stakeholders (e.g. senior management or regulators)Partner with key business areas and stakeholders to assure compliance with external regulation – to meet the ever-changing regulatory environmentExplore opportunities to increase efficiency with regards to our ‘business as usual’ processes (e.g. automation, new technologies, smart solutions, etc.)Lead a small team of risk professionals as part of the broader Risk Capital teamWhat you'll bring to the role:Bachelor’s or higher degree in a quantitative field such as Finance, Economics and Mathematics5+ years of relevant work experience in the financial industry, preferably in risk management, treasury capital management or regulatory reportingSolid knowledge of financial markets, traded products and risk management principlesStrong analytical, problem solving and organizational skillsProficiency in use of Excel, SQL, Power PointExperience and/or proof of strong ability to learn programming skills Python and VBAGood communication and interpersonal skillsCollaborative / Team player mindset - ability to prioritize and work effectively with colleagues to meet a common goalTeam management experience (nice to have only)#LI-hybrid #LI-JL01WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM MORGAN STANLEY: At Morgan Stanley, we raise, manage and allocate capital for our clients – helping them reach their goals.
