We are currently recruiting for a SALES MANAGER for our Edmonton, AB client.
Job Description
Provide direction and recommendations to improve sales efforts. Budget, manage, and coordinate sales, service, and administrative functions within the assigned territory in order to achieve the sales and market share revenue goals.
Assess and acquire new distribution channels in the region as needed to achieve market share revenue and profitability goals.
Provide training and coordination of industrial distributors toward mutually agreed goals.
Work with distributors and end-users to unearth opportunities, and provide sales and technical emphasis at the front stage of all projects.
Develop and maintain performance-oriented sales initiatives, establishing and updating a sales pipeline visible to management at all times.
Contact and initiate opportunities for the sale of Reliability products with potential end-users, both alone and in conjunction with current and new distribution channel partners.
Provide written reports and presentations to senior management and the board of directors, as needed.
Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities.
Prepare individual and departmental goals and objectives that correspond to the operating plan.
Analyze competitor reviews with related improvement goals.
Provide sales training and field support to distributors. Develop and monitor distributor sales activity and performance within the region.
Maintain customer database that provides contact, application, and market share data. Establish and maintain a yearly sales plan for the annual forecast of operations.
Ensure exceptional customer service is provided to internal and external customers.
Conduct sales calls /exhibitions and conference visits.
Monitor and review distributor activity.
Qualifications
Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical field, or equivalent professional experience preferred but not required. Engineering background and technical sales experience in the lubricants and/or Oil & Gas sector is highly desired.
10+ years’ experience selling specialty, value-added, or technical lubricants products.
Knowledge of lube systems is a plus
Ability to Travel >50%
Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
Newmarket penetration experience. Sales and marketing strategy development experience.
High energy and superb communication skills with the ability to consultatively demonstrate our products highlighting their benefits/advantages/features to our customers. Ability to work with all levels from corporate to field employees.
Ability to work independently and strong organizational skills to manage time, territory, and resources effectively.
Strong follow-through skills to close leads and action items.
An active listener who continues to learn while pulling others to collaborate in achieving global objectives - A collaborative style.
