It is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all North Carolinians, providing human service needs for special populations including individuals who are deaf, blind, developmentally disabled, and mentally ill, and helping poor North Carolinians achieve economic independence.Description of WorkThe Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, and Substance Use Services is seeking a collaborative and solutions-oriented professional to manage a complex portfolio of statewide mental health, substance use, intellectual/developmental disability, and traumatic brain injury funding initiatives. This position coordinates across program, budget, finance, and contracts teams to support funding strategies, spend planning, and implementation of priority initiatives. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, comfortable navigating ambiguity, and able to connect operational details with broader program goals.Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management PreferencesSalary Range: $52,592 - $92,036Recruitment Range: $52,592 - $85,000Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they have the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement.
