Overview:Join Vancouver Hauling as a Journeyman Diesel Mechanic performing diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on heavy-duty trucks and equipment to keep our fleet running safely and efficiently.Schedule: 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM (Regular OT available)Pay: $35.06 – $37.66/hr DOEKey Requirements4–6+ years heavy-duty diesel experienceJourneyman-level diagnostics and repair skillsCompletion of a recognized diesel technician apprenticeship program or equivalent experiencePhysically able to lift 50–75 lbs.Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred or ability to obtain)Experience with Cummins & PACCAR engines (ISL, ISX12, MX-11, etc.)Proficient with INSITE & DAVIE4 diagnostic toolsStrong electrical, CAN bus, and ECM troubleshootingKnowledge of air brakes, hydraulics, driveline, and suspension systemsAbility to perform DOT inspections and preventative maintenanceProvide own toolsWhat You’ll DoDiagnose and repair engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and componentsPerform PMs and DOT inspectionsTroubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issuesMaintain accurate documentationSupport team and mentor junior techsPreferredCDL, ASE certificationsRefuse/vocational truck experienceCompletion of a recognized diesel technician apprenticeship program or equivalent experienceWhat We Offer you: Paid Time OffPension PlanUnion BenefitsUniforms/Safety GearYearly Boot AllowanceYearly Safety BonusWaste Connections is an equal opportunity employer.
