Job Seekers can review the Job Applicant Privacy Policy by clicking here.Job Description:SummaryThe Consultant Engineer is responsible for analysis and utilization of continuous improvement tools to design Supply Chain Solutions in current and future operations.The RoleSeeking a motivated individual to help drive the North America Finished Vehicle Logistics team on new projects and on-going support of outbound finished vehicle network engineeringThe Finished Vehicle Logistics team will focus on: Ensuring systems are accurateTactical design changesCost savings analysis and optimizationsCreative solutions and purchasing supportWhat You'll DoManage finished vehicle routing and distribution across North America, Mexico, and CanadaValidate network performance — Actual vs. ForecastDefine transportation methods balancing cost, service, and qualityTrack impact files before and after network redesignsModel using supply chain optimization tools (e.g., Optilogic)Manage large data sets to perform transportation studiesDevelop business cases with projected cost savings and volume impactEnsure project alignment and timing with other current and deployed initiatives across logisticsEnsure regional/global input is received for all major decisions related to logistics processes and systemsRoot cause issues to identify initiatives that improve process and cost competitivenessDesign and run network modeling toolsRequired Qualifications2+ years relevant experience in purchasing, supply chain, program/product management, logistics, or product development (internship or co-op experience will not be considered)Project management skills with proven experience leading projectsStrong communication and interpersonal skills to work cross-functionally with purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, and salesExpert-level proficiency in analytics tools with ability to learn new tools/systems quicklyData analytics experience (e.g., SQL, R, Python)Data visualization experience (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)Ability to drive long-term projects through to completionPreferred QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Business, Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related fieldBusiness process optimization and re-engineering experienceLogistics software experienceEssential FunctionsCollects data and performs statistical analysisMaps and documents processes.
