This role leads a team of salaried logistics leaders and supervisors who oversee hourly employees responsible for inventory management, material handling, customer service, and storeroom operations. The Senior Manager is accountable for operational execution, workforce development, customer satisfaction, safety performance, and continuous improvement across the network of storeroom locations. The incumbent serves as the primary customer-facing leader, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring service commitments are consistently achieved. In addition, YOU are the management and professional representative of the Ryder organization.If your work experience and/or education aligns with the Requirements and Responsibilities listed below, APPLY NOW!!Essential FunctionsLead and develop a team of logistics managers and supervisors responsible for the day-to-day direction of hourly storeroom personnel across multiple locations. Establish operational priorities and ensure consistent execution of inventory management, materials handling, replenishment, and customer support activities throughout the storeroom network. Drive workforce engagement, succession planning, and leadership development to build a high-performing organization that delivers operational excellence. Partner directly with customers and key stakeholders to ensure service expectations are met, issues are resolved promptly, and opportunities for improvement are identified. Develop and execute strategic operational plans that support customer requirements, productivity objectives, and business growth. Analyze operational performance metrics and implement corrective actions, process improvements, and LEAN initiatives to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction. Provide leadership oversight for staffing, performance management, coaching, employee relations, and workforce planning for both salaried leaders and hourly employees. Foster strong communication and collaboration across operations, customer teams, and support functions to ensure alignment and execution of business objectives. Lead a proactive safety culture by ensuring compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and established storeroom operational procedures. May manage operational budgets and profit-and-loss performance based on the complexity and scope of the assigned account.
