As our Global Finance Director, Corporate Functions, you'll serve as the senior finance business partner for our global corporate functions. You'll lead all Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) activities across our complex, multinational, and matrixed environment. You will provide strategic financial leadership, drive enterprise-wide planning and performance management, and ensure disciplined cost stewardship supporting long-term growth and innovation strategies. You will work with functional leaders to translate business strategy into applicable financial plans and insights. You will partner with the Science and Technology (S&T) organization to achieve results around profitable organic growth and prioritization of innovation and customer support resources consistent with SBU and enterprise strategy. This also includes supporting activities (technical, tax, legal, etc.) essential to the protection of company intellectual property, including optimization of resources with consideration given to layered tax strategies and compliance requirements. You will work a hybrid schedule according to our policy from our Pittsburgh, PA headquarters and report to a Global Director.PPG offers excellent Medical, Dental, & Vision Benefits; matching 401k + retirement savings; and Paid Vacation, Holiday pay.Main Responsibilities:Strategic Financial LeadershipAct as the primary finance partner to global corporate function executives, providing forward-looking financial insights to support strategic decision-making.Influence enterprise investment decisions by evaluating trade-offs between cost efficiency, capability building, and long-term value creation. Support major transformation initiatives (e.g., digital, shared services, operating model changes, acquisition and divestiture activities) with rigorous financial analysis to optimize and or right-size organizational structures and cost pools.Global FP&A Ownership (Corporate Functions)Lead the global planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes for all corporate functions, including annual operating plan, rolling forecasts, and long-range functional plan processes.Develop and maintain a comprehensive view of functional cost drivers, headcount, productivity metrics, and capital investments across regions.Ensure alignment between functional plans and overall enterprise financial targets.Evaluate and adjust allocation methodologies that are critical for proper recognition of costs across reporting entities at the business unit, regional and corporate levels. Coordinate activities with functional, tax, and finance (regional, business unit, corporate) resources to ensure fair and reasonable reporting of functional costs.Performance Management & AnalyticsEstablish clear financial performance metrics and KPIs for corporate functions, including cost efficiency, ROI, and value creation metrics.Deliver executive-level insights through concise storytelling, variance analysis, trend identification, and scenario modeling.Proactively identify risks and opportunities, recommending corrective actions and investment reallocations.Governance, Controls & StewardshipDrive strong financial governance, ensuring transparency, consistency, and compliance with corporate policies and internal controls.Partner with controllership, accounting, and functional resources to ensure accurate financial reporting and disciplined expense management.Support external commitments and disclosures related to SG&A, restructuring planning and transformation savings, and enterprise efficiency initiatives. Leadership & Talent DevelopmentLead, mentor, and develop a high-performing FP&A team, fostering a culture of accountability, partnership, and continuous improvement. This includes direct reports and indirect reports that are stationed throughout the globe.Standardize financial processes, tools, and reporting across regions and functions to improve scalability and efficiency.Promote adoption of advanced analytics, automation, and planning technologies.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required12+ years of progressive finance experience, including senior-level FP&A leadership in a large, complex, global organization.Deep expertise in corporate FP&A, SG&A management, and enterprise planning processes.Proven ability to partner with executive leadership and influence decisions at the highest organizational levels.Strong financial modeling, business case development, and scenario analysis capabilities.How we work: At PPG, we bring teams together to accelerate collaboration and career development, with in-person work Monday through Thursday and the opportunity to work remotely on Flexible Fridays.
